  • Meet  Malala Zamora, Senior Manager of Development & Production for Women’s Ready-to-Wear. In her dynamic role, she oversees the operational end of the brand’s fashion lifecycle. From sourcing fabrics and trims to managing production timelines, vendor relationships and costs, Malala collaborates closely with design and merchandising to build seasonal product ranges.    “What I love most about my job is transforming creative ideas into real, tangible products,” Malala explains. “There is something incredibly rewarding about guiding a garment from sketch to final production, overseeing every detail from fabric sourcing to fit refinement, and solving challenges along the way.”     Originally from Argentina, Malala has been a KARL LAGERFELD team member for over 12 years. “It’s a place where everyone’s contribution matters, and where passion for product, quality and teamwork drives everything we do,” she says. “Everything happens because of working together with the team, with talented and passionate people.”

  • One year ago, we decided to bring production in-house and launch the KARL LAGERFELD Studio. Since then, it has transformed the way we work, collaborate and create, as team members are empowered to bring the brand’s vision to life in new ways.    “Our Studio is proving to be a hub where inspiring, innovative ideas take shape,” says Jodie Stoakes, KARL LAGERFELD’s Manager of Content Operations & Production. “In just one year, we’ve revolutionized sample management and strengthened cross-department collaboration. It’s redefined our photography workflows across lookbooks, e-commerce, outlet shoots, pre-styling, campaigns, store manager seminars, VM guidelines, prototype reviews, and more.”    A heartfelt thank you to every team member whose passion and dedication have fueled the success of this project.

  • KARL LAGERFELD is pleased to announce the opening of its pop-up in South Korea, located in Seongsu, one of Seoul’s most vibrant cultural neighborhoods. Designed under the direction of our Creative Director Hun Kim, a native of Seoul, whose personal connection to the city helped shape this meaningful moment.    “Bringing the world of KARL home to my birth city makes this pop-up especially meaningful. It’s a chance to connect with a place that shaped my perspective, and to share that vision with a new generation here.” says HUN KIM, Creative Director of KARL LAGERFELD.    The space invites visitors on an immersive journey to discover the world of KARL LAGERFELD. Across the pop-up’s 230-square-meter space, a futuristic aesthetic is enhanced with ultra-modern design elements, metallic chrome accents, and sleek graphics in the brand’s signature black-and-white palette. The pop-up will feature immersive brand storytelling through art installations, a live DJ, interactive experiences, and curated displays – including Hanji shirt collar sculptures, a selfie room, and a Lucky Draw, all celebrating KARL LAGERFELD’s Parisian DNA with a local twist. Open now through May 26th.

  • At KARL LAGERFELD, we believe that continuous learning is key to making progress. Our team recently attended the Sustainable Apparel and Textiles Conference in Amsterdam. The conference focused on actionable strategies to adapt operations and tackle these challenges.    A highlight of the event was connecting with Fairly Made®, the leading French platform for fashion transparency, with whom we collaborate closely to ensure we are on track with our traceability goals. As Kalina Paprzycka, Sustainability Data Coordinator at KARL LAGERFELD, shared: "It was a pleasure for our team to attend the Sustainable Apparel and Textiles Conference. We’re coming away inspired and equipped with valuable insights to share internally. A key takeaway for us is the importance of ongoing collaboration across the value chain and the need for continuous learning in an evolving landscape."

KARL LAGERFELD is pleased to share that its Regent Street store has officially achieved LEED Gold certification. This milestone reflects KARL LAGERFELD’s ongoing efforts to design energy efficient retail spaces that reduce water usage and make use of responsible, high-quality materials.    Furthermore, as part of the store design, KARL LAGERFELD partnered with Smile Plastics, a design studio and manufacturer that transforms pre- and post-consumer waste into circular materials. For the Regent Street store, Smile Plastics’ materials were used to create distinctive footboards and a table made entirely from 100% recycled and 100% recyclable plastics — a testament to the potential of innovation-led design.   This milestone forms part of KARL LAGERFELD’s broader KARL CARES strategy to build a better future of fashion, grounded in its commitment to People, the Planet, and its Partners.    A sincere thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life. The journey continues, and we look forward to learning and improving with each step.

  • The Maison KARL LAGERFELD and its Sustainability Ambassador, Amber Valletta, are proud to introduce a limited-edition tote bag. Created in collaboration with the Ethical Fashion Initiative, it celebrates local creative heritage, promotes female empowerment and supports sustainable development. The tote’s textiles were sourced in Burkina Faso from organic, 100% rain-fed cotton, and dyed using GOTS certified dyes. The “Faso Dan Fani” textiles were then hand-woven by female artisans in Burkina Faso. Finally, the bags were made by Artisan Fashion and Tujikuze in Nairobi, and embellished with intricate glass beadwork made by artisans at Tujikuze’s network in Gilgil. "This tote is more than a bag — it celebrates creativity, community, and thoughtful design,” says Amber Valletta. “Collaborating on this project has been an energizing experience, highlighting our interconnectedness and the beauty of honoring traditional heritage alongside contemporary design." With just 320 exclusive pieces available worldwide, each one-of-a-kind bag is individually numbered and signed by the artisan who made it.
