Malaysia reinforces its air surveillance capabilities with two additional GM400α radars 🇲🇾   During the Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim’s state visit to France, Thales received a Letter of Award to provide two additional Ground Master 400 alpha (GM400α) long-range air surveillance radars. This new delivery brings the total number of GM400 radars in Malaysia to four, reflecting the country’s continued confidence in Thales’ radar technology.   The GM400α, already deployed by over 20 countries, is designed to detect a wide range of airborne threats, from fast jets to low-flying UAVs, with a range of 515 km. These radars will further enhance the Royal Malaysian Air Force’s ability to maintain situational awareness and respond to evolving challenges.   Present in the country for over 40 years, this Letter of Award reaffirms Thales’ commitment to strengthen Malaysia’s air surveillance capabilities in addition to supporting its national agendas in Artificial Intelligence, Space and cybersecurity.
