In order to be more efficiently flag spam, especially during a spam wave users should see what post they already flagged.

Currently, there is no way of knowing whether one already flagged a post or not until one opens the post and presses flag. This costs time and is rather annoying for the user.

On the discussions space, one gets a little symbol when opening a post:

a flagged spam post on the discussions space

That symbol enter image description here should also be shown on regular posts and preferably on overview pages, like this:

I agree it'd be nice to be able to see if you've already flagged a post without opening the flag dialog, but when flagging spam I just don't reopen questions I've already opened. OTOH, it's not always easy to see which questions I've already visited because the difference in title colour between visited and unvisited questions can be very small.

For UI consistency, on the post's page, that'd be good to add an asterisk near the flag link on the post's page when a post has already been flagged, as it's done for the reopen and delete links:

Still for UI consistency, in the question list, I'd recommend marking flagged questions the same way as deleted questions are marked (obviously replacing "Deleted" with "Flagged"):

Looks to me like OP is talking about spam or r/a flags. They're not displayed with an asterisk. You would have to open the individual flag dialog entirely to see it.

@Cow good point, I'm ok to post it as a separate feature request if people think it's a better option. No preference on my side Commented Feb 18 at 15:03
