Charging at over 850 kW: Electric vehicle and infrastructure development in sync   Alpitronic and Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG are working together to advance charging performance for electric vehicles. The CONCEPT AMG GT XX achieves an exceptionally high average charging power of over 850 kW at 1000 amperes across over a wide range of the charging curve.   To support this level of performance, the charging infrastructure must reliably deliver high current. Drawing on our expertise in high-power charging, we have developed the first charging station capable of delivering such current through a standard CCS cable – significantly reducing charging times and bringing them closer to those of conventional refuelling.   This class of high-power chargers are not limited to prototype use – Mercedes-Benz AG will expand the infrastructure of its own Mercedes‑Benz Charging Network with the next generation of high-performance charging stations to support future series-production car models.   The collaboration demonstrates how coordinated progress in both vehicle and infrastructure technology is essential for the continued development of electric mobility. #Alpitronic #Hypercharger #EvChargingInfrastructure #EVCharging #eMobility #EV #HYC400

Optimal charging experience: Alpitronic and the BMW Group are jointly advancing high-power charging. Featuring 800-volt technology, the all-electric BMW iX3 can be charged at a maximum power output of 400 kW using Alpitronic’s Hypercharger HYC400. Seamless communication between vehicle and charger enables a smooth, efficient and convenient charging experience – with clear benefits in everyday use. This was successfully demonstrated during the exclusive BMW iX3 pre-drive event in Miramas, southern France, where the integration of our charging technology with the vehicle was essential to achieving ultra-fast charging in practice. Test Run: Emission-Free Delivery, Ultra-Fast Charging For the first time, our partner Stauner Palet s.r.o. deployed the fully electric eActros 600 from Mercedes-Benz Trucks for the long-distance transport of our Hypercharger 200 and 400 housings. The truck completed a 500-kilometre journey from the Czech Republic to South Tyrol via Germany and Austria, arriving in Bolzano without the need for intermediate charging. Once our partner receives their own electric truck, they plan to operate this route permanently using zero-emission vehicles.   This test run marks an important step toward emission-free logistics and supports our goal of electrifying our transport processes with fully electric trucks. At the newly opened HYC1000 megawatt charging site, operated by Autostrada del Brennero S.p.A. / Brennerautobahn AG on the Brenner motorway (Bolzano South), the eActros was charged via CCS2 at its maximum capacity of up to 400 kW. Looking ahead, future truck models will be able to charge with up to 600 kW at the HYC1000 when using CCS2. The test also provided valuable insights for further optimization. With the official opening of the HYC1000 megawatt charging system today at the Brenner motorway (South exit, Bolzano), Autostrada del Brennero S.p.A. / Brennerautobahn AG is advancing high-power charging infrastructure along one of Europe’s key freight corridors – a critical step toward reducing emissions in heavy-duty transport. We’re especially proud that this first installation stands in Bolzano – our hometown. Just minutes from our headquarters, this site represents more than a technical milestone. It’s a symbol of progress, rooted in the place where our vision began.    The installation features a power cabinet with 1000 kW output, equipped with both MCS and EV dispensers. This configuration enables high-power charging of electric trucks in just 30 to 40 minutes – designed for maximum reliability and efficiency. Exactly what long-haul logistics demands, where downtime is not just inconvenient, but economically costly.    Today’s event underscores the importance of strong partnerships – in the region and beyond. Entering a new electric era   The latest Annual State of the Industry Report by ChargeUp Europe confirms it: electric vehicles are rapidly becoming the preferred mode of transport.    Today, over 20% of all new cars sold globally are electric. In Europe alone, over 11 million EVs are already on the road – supported by a network of more than 8 million public and private charging points.   The shift to e-mobility, however, still requires coordinated efforts and a strong political framework. Public and workplace charging are becoming increasingly important, while high-power charging helps to reduce charging times for a growing user base. Challenges remain, such as grid limitations, which continue to slow down projects across Europe.   The logistics sector is also preparing for change. More than 1 million electric trucks are expected on European roads by 2035. To meet this demand, scalable and efficient charging infrastructure will be essential – such as our megawatt distributed charging system, the HYC1000.   We are proud to support this transition.
