With the official opening of the HYC1000 megawatt charging system today at the Brenner motorway (South exit, Bolzano), Autostrada del Brennero S.p.A. / Brennerautobahn AG is advancing high-power charging infrastructure along one of Europe’s key freight corridors – a critical step toward reducing emissions in heavy-duty transport. We’re especially proud that this first installation stands in Bolzano – our hometown. Just minutes from our headquarters, this site represents more than a technical milestone. It’s a symbol of progress, rooted in the place where our vision began.    The installation features a power cabinet with 1000 kW output, equipped with both MCS and EV dispensers. This configuration enables high-power charging of electric trucks in just 30 to 40 minutes – designed for maximum reliability and efficiency. Exactly what long-haul logistics demands, where downtime is not just inconvenient, but economically costly.    Today’s event underscores the importance of strong partnerships – in the region and beyond.
