Charging up the Land of the Rising Sun 🔋☀️ After successful launches in Europe, including the latest one in Austria, North America and China, we’re reaching the next milestone in our global charging strategy: Mercedes-Benz Charging Hubs are coming to Japan! Today marks the official inauguration of our first site in Chiba City which offers:      ⚡ Best-in-class charging capacity for a fast and convenient experience  ⚡ Integrated battery energy storage to ease strain on the local grid  ⚡ Intelligent smartpole for appropriate lighting and information about the availability of the charging point and the charging status of the vehicle  ⚡ Mercedes-Benz charging experience for all brands Mercedes-Benz drivers will have exclusive access to attractive fixed rates and seamless authentication via the integrated MB.CHARGE Public service. This is just the beginning. We’re planning to build 25 Mercedes-Benz Charging Hubs across the country in the next years together with our local partner PowerX, Inc. Stay tuned as we energise electric mobility across Japan – one hub at a time.

⚡Boosting electric mobility in Europe! We’re proud to announce the expansion of our global fast-charging infrastructure: Mercedes-Benz has launched its Charging Network in Austria! Our first High Power Charging Hub in Parndorf offers fast, convenient, and green charging for electric vehicle drivers of all brands. 🔋Some highlights of our new site in Parndorf: - Located near attractive amenities  - Ultra-fast charging with up to 400 kW capacity  - Plug & Charge functionality  - Exclusive reservation of a charging point in advance for Mercedes-Benz customers via MB.CHARGE Public 🎉 To celebrate the opening, we’re offering in Parndorf:  - Free charging for all customers from 1 to 6 July 2025  - Free charging for MB.CHARGE Public customers until 31 August 2025    And we’re just getting started: We plan at least five more charging hubs across Austria within one year.    Planning a trip through Austria? 🎉🚀Premiere Alert: A glimpse into the all-electric future of performance! Yesterday, the Mercedes-AMG GmbH Headquarters in Affalterbach became ‘Affasterbach’ – and for good reason. We’re celebrating the world premiere of the CONCEPT AMG GT XX, a groundbreaking concept vehicle that sets the tone for the next chapter of high-performance electric mobility. Among the standout innovations: a revolutionary all-electric drive system and an entirely newly developed high-voltage battery— both pushing the limits of what's possible. To match the vehicle’s charging performance, the Mercedes‑Benz Charging Unit worked in close collaboration with its partner Alpitronic, the European market leader in high-power charging. Alpitronic has developed a prototype charging station. It is the first charging station able to transmit such a high current via a standard CCS cable. A true benchmark for what’s to come. As we move toward future series-production models, the Mercedes-Benz Charging Network will be expanding with a new generation of high-performance charging stations. Customers will benefit from extremely fast charging processes, where charging times differ only slightly from conventional refuelling with fuel. At the world premiere, Michael Springmann, Head of High Power Charging Europe, provided insights into the new era of charging to attending media representatives.

Sustainability is one of our core values and deeply embedded in our business strategy. Our focus is not only on simply ensuring that our customers can charge, but also on what they charge with. That’s why as part of MB.CHARGE Public, we guarantee Green Charging in Europe, Canada, and the USA at public charging points. That means:  If electricity from renewable energies is not yet provided at the respective charging station, MB.CHARGE Public uses Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs) to ensure that an equivalent amount of electricity from renewable energies is fed into the power grid. ⚡️Making German highways even more electrifying!⚡️ Mercedes-Benz and 24-Autohöfe are teaming up to elevate the EV charging experience along Germany��s motorways. 🔋 The first Mercedes-Benz Charging Hub at a 24-Autohöfe location is now live in Wernberg-Köblitz (A93/A6) — with more than ten additional premium charging parks in the pipeline. EV drivers of all brands can enjoy a seamless experience with: - Ultra-fast charging up to 400 kW - Barrier-free access and comprehensive safety features - Plug & Charge functionality (for compatible vehicles and contracts) - A wide variety of gastronomy and service options — turning every stop into a moment of relaxation, not just a recharge. Plus, thanks to seamless integration into the MB.CHARGE Public network, Mercedes-Benz customers benefit from exclusive features, like the ability to reserve a charging point in advance. 👉 What do you value most when stopping to charge during long-distance trips?

🌍 Strong global partnerships for sustainable development 🙌 Last week, more than 1,600 participants from over 110 countries gathered at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference 2025, united by one mission: strengthening global partnerships for sustainable development and accelerating the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda. Key topics included: 🔹 Global Financial Architecture 🔹 Investment Mobilisation 🔹 Sustainable Transition As part of the third key topic, Eva Greiner, Chief Technology Officer at Mercedes-Benz Mobility, and further experts discussed the role of green charging in boosting the energy transition. They highlighted the importance of bundling forces across countries to build up a sustainable charging infrastructure and create a strong energy grid – also illustrating how our cars can help to stabilise it as decentralised power storage in the future.
