These creatures are pseudo eusocial, where the societal structure would be similar to that of ants or bees, but each individual would be able to reproduce. This species would also be the intelligent species of their planet like humans.

In the pseudo eusocial species’ hierarchy, we have the “queen” which is the largest and is the mother of the clan. They are able to reproduce on their own and the resulting offspring would be the members of the clan, although there are “king” males that can make other kings and queens that will make more clans. Males can have their own clan, by adopting them.

Next on the hierarchy are the queens’ offspring, which come in two classes, the ground class which is made of ground-dwelling creatures (and some that can fly), and the flier class which has pterosaur like creatures, and also a smaller lighter variant. All of these look different from each other, but in actuality they are the same species.

These creatures can also be male and female, and can reproduce with other clans, and the offspring would mostly become smaller, muted versions of the adults that can’t reproduce, or ever rarely, other viable creatures.

I am also planning for them to be a cosmopolitan species, being found almost anywhere on their continent, and the type of offspring they produce will reflect their environment.

Which begs the question: why do they have that sorta structure in the first place? Not that many animals on our planet have that, so why should they? There should be at least some driving force behind it.

$\begingroup$ This question needs refinement/focus. The final paragraph reads to me as three different questions. The primary question of what conditions are needed is not very clear what would be a good answer. Conditions for what exactly? The eusocial bit? the particular flavor of eusocial? How the clans are structured? Some flying and some not ? the intelligence bit? $\endgroup$ Commented yesterday

$\begingroup$ VTC:Opinion-Based and breaking the rules anyway. The deal killer is that your creatures enjoy human sapience. That makes this is about character/organization choices (prohibited, see help center) and not evolution. Worse, humanity doesn't know why any social structure exists from an evolutionary perspective. We can only judge the pros/cons of such a structure and then guess. Regrettably, that makes this question storybuilding, not worldbuilding. But never fear! The Story Tellers Corner chat room can answer this question. $\endgroup$

In the future, if you want a worldbuilding answer to the question, you need to build the environment that would support it first. That means doing so research into what terrestrial critters (if any) enjoy it or anything like it, and then asking the question, "what has science suggested are the pros and cons to that?" Once you've done that, you're 90% of the way to your answer. $\endgroup$
