At the start of July, our wonderful corporate partner Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team gave some of our biggest Formula 1 fans an unforgettable opportunity - a bespoke experience at the 2025 British Grand Prix! 🏁 Children from Helen & Douglas House were invited for a behind-the-scenes day with the team - meeting the drivers, touring the paddock, experiencing the pit lane and motorhome, and truly living the F1 dream. For children like Meriel, it was more than just an exciting day, it was life-changing. From meeting George Russell and Kimi Antonelli (who gave their precious time so generously), to feeling part of the action in the heart of the Mercedes family, every moment made a lasting impact. 🧡 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚, 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥’𝐬 𝐌𝐮𝐦 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝: “I can’t thank Mercedes F1 enough for the incredible experience that Meriel had at Silverstone. I really can’t find the words that describe what it all has meant to her. As she said to me the day before - it really was more than a dream come true, something that she never would have dreamt possible and then far exceeded all expectations. Unless someone knows a child with complex healthcare needs it sometimes can be hard to realise that they are just like the rest of us, but restricted and limited in their life at every single turn by their conditions. So, for these children, these incredible opportunities given to them are hugely appreciated. With a life that really is lived day by day uncertain when the cliff edge may collapse, Mercedes and Helen & Douglas House, have given so much joy than I can possibly describe. Celebrating the Mercedes-Benz AG W196 👏 The Silver Arrow that made Stirling Moss the first British driver to win the British Grand Prix at Aintree 70 years ago, and the inspiration for our Silver Arrow merchandise collection launched before Silverstone. Inclusion and Social Impact at Silverstone 🤝 Honoured to be joined by representatives and beneficiaries of our Inclusion and Social Impact partners at the 2025 British Grand Prix at the start of July. Members of The Sutton Trust, Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK), and Mulberry Schools Trust had the chance to chat with Toto, Technical Director James Allison, and Director of Car Design John Owen, as well as enjoying our first-class hospitality experience. There was also a tour of the paddock and garage, as well as the chance to enjoy Free Practice 1 from our viewing gallery on Friday afternoon. Having previously met the students during their work experience or career insight days, the team were delighted to see the aspiring engineers again.
