We were pleased to host a few days ago at our #LesÎlotsBlandin solar PV plant in France Guillaume Aubert, VP and Managing Director of Global Asset Management Infrastructure, alongside other team members at our shareholder La Caisse (Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec). #LesÎlotsBlandin, jointly owned by Velto Renewables and our partner Q ENERGY, is the largest floating solar PV plant in Europe; its 74.3MW represent a success story on how renewable energy can regenerate industrial sites to create habitats that foster biodiversity. Today, June 20th, 2025, Velto Renewables and Q ENERGY officially inaugurated the Les Îlots Blandin project in Perthes, Haute-Marne, France; a major milestone for renewable energy in Europe: the largest floating solar PV plant in the continent.   The inauguration gathered local and national representatives, including officials from the national parliament, Charles de Courson, the commune, regional stakeholders, and partners from Velto Renewables and Q ENERGY, and others who contributed to making this project a reality. Originally developed by Q ENERGY and now co-owned by Velto Renewables, the 74.3 MWp plant spans 127 hectares of repurposed gravel pits, converting post-industrial land into a clean energy asset. With over 135,000 floating solar panels, Les Ilots Blandin will generate enough electricity to power 37,000 people per year, avoiding 18,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.   A project that proves innovation, land reuse, and long-term collaboration. “Velto is accelerating its development in France with a clear objective: to establish a long-term presence in the country for several decades. We are here to stay. Our mission is to develop, operate and support projects over the long term, in harmony with local specificities; this is one of the reasons we are proud of our partnership with QENERGY in France,” said our CEO, Lucas de Haro.

Team up! This week, Velto's team gathered for its annual offsite, this time in the Haute-Marne département of France. We had the opportunity to visit two of our assets owned in partnership with Q ENERGY. The first was the 26.2 MW Haut-Chemin 2 under construction wind project in Biesles, which is scheduled to be inaugurated later this year. The following morning, we visited the 74.3 MWp Îlots Blandin project, located in Perthes, which is the largest floating solar PV plant in Europe. Two days to tighten bonds, learn from one another and energising the Velto Renewables team!  👏 👏

This week, Velto Renewables had the pleasure of welcoming MBA students from Brunel Business School to our offices. It was an opportunity to exchange ideas and share insights into our work at Velto. The session featured a presentation covering key areas of our operations, delivered by team members from across departments. Thank you to the students for their interest and active participation. 🧑🎓 👨🎓 👩🎓

Velto Renewables, représenté par notre Coordinatrice ESG Laura De Matos, a eu l'occasion de participer pour la première fois à l’Assemblée Générale de France renouvelables à Paris, un rendez-vous important pour le secteur des énergies renouvelables. Cet événement a permis des échanges avec de nombreux acteurs clés du domaine et de suivre les travaux de plusieurs commissions thématiques. Parmi celles-ci, certaines ont abordé des sujets variés tels que les défis techniques, l’intégration des réseaux électriques ainsi que les évolutions législatives à venir. Cette participation a été une expérience enrichissante pour renforcer notre engagement sur le marché français.
