🆕 EDP in France celebrates four new projects From May to June, our teams in France marked a particularly dynamic period with the inauguration of four new solar parks across the country: 📍 Plancy-l’Abbaye: Grand Est (Aube); 📍 Pont-à-Mousson: Grand Est (Meurthe-et-Moselle); 📍 Fain-lès-Montbard: Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (Côte-d'Or); 📍 Cavignac: Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Gironde).   Each inauguration was an opportunity to celebrate a collective achievement alongside local officials, partners, and our teams — and to reaffirm our commitment to delivering clean, local energy to power the energy transition.   With these new assets, over 22 MWp of solar power have been added in France — another concrete step toward a more sustainable future. 📈EDP’s commitment to Italy is long-term and growing Since entering the Italian market, we have invested over €1 billion, positioning ourselves as the second-largest foreign investor in the country's renewable energy sector. As a global company with a local mindset, our strategy in Italy is multi-technology, from large-scale wind and solar projects to tailored solar solutions for corporate clients. In 2025 alone, we invested in more than 200 MW of new clean energy across utility-scale wind, solar, and distributed generation. We're now gearing up for the next phase: storage. With 500 MW of storage capacity in our pipeline, this technology will become one of the three pillars of EDP’s strategy, alongside solar and wind. As part of this commitment, we recently announced a new partnership to develop EDP's largest distributed generation photovoltaic plant in the country with integrated storage. ☀️ June makes history with solar energy breaking a new record   Solar energy has set a new milestone, supplying 22% of the EU's electricity in June and becoming the main source of energy for the first time ever.   As cities across Europe grapple with heatwaves, the urgency for resilient, climate-smart infrastructure is heightened, and solar energy is crucial in meeting the increasing energy demand.   At EDP in Europe, centralized solar power generation increased by 71% in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 577 GWh, establishing it as the fastest-growing technology in our portfolio.   The sun will continue to shine, playing an increasingly decisive role in the energy transition. With discussions beginning on the next EU budget for 2028-2034, it is crucial that we receive support through frameworks that drive sustained investment and enable more efficient progress with clean energy projects, thereby strengthening Europe's long-term competitiveness and resilience.

📢 Storage has been gaining prominence in our portfolio, and today we are proud to announce the signing of another pioneering contract in Europe. EDP in Poland, in close collaboration with Axpo Polska , has signed a long-term agreement to optimize a 60 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project. This innovative energy solution addresses the gap in a market that largely relies on conventional energy sources. By incorporating storage, it will enable the integration of more renewable capacity, fostering greater stability in the national electricity system. This project further strengthens our long-standing presence in Poland, where we have already developed over 1 GW of wind and solar energy at the utility scale, as well as distributed solar production solutions for businesses. Moreover, this initiative solidifies our current position: adopting a comprehensive energy approach that enhances Europe's energy independence through a diverse mix of technologies that are reliable, affordable, and scalable. Celebrating our latest project in Romania: The Albina Solar Farm ☀️   Following its entry into operation in late 2024, today, we proudly inaugurate this project, which reflects not just a major achievement in clean energy deployment, but also our enduring commitment to resilient, sustainable energy infrastructure.   Located in western Romania, Albina boasts an installed capacity of 60 MWp (48.8 MWac) and is expected to generate approximately 67 GWh of green electricity annually—enough to power nearly 40,000 households.This contribution will help avoid more than 33,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually. With a portfolio of over 570 MW of installed capacity in Romania across over 15 wind and solar projects, we continue to strengthen our contribution to the country's energy landscape. Securing growth in Germany’s clean energy landscape! Following a competitive land auction, we’ve been been awarded land rights to develop a project with a potential of over 200 MW of wind energy in the country. Located in Uelzen-Suderburg, Lower Saxony, this project could span approximately 2,700 hectares and be fully operational by the end of the decade—delivering substantial environmental benefits to the region.
