It might just be me, but anecdotally I feel like activity on the site is slowing down:

  • Questions and answers don't get votes and comments as quickly as they used to
  • The question que/stack doesn't seem to be churning as quickly
  • Fewer users seem to be climbing the leader boards

There is probably a way to quantify this using queries, but I don't know how.

Is it just me, or is traffic/activity down? How could we check this via queries?

The analytics for the site is available to mods, but I'm not allowed to share that publicly.

In general, the engagement (e.g. number of posters) has been on a downward trend since 2020.
