This month, thanks to EU’s and Member States diplomatic efforts, UN Member States reached consensus to establish a permanent global mechanism to advance responsible state behaviour in cyberspace, a major step for international cyber safety. The agreement builds on a 2020 proposal by the EU and its Member States for a UN cyber Programme of Action. The EU remains committed to promoting a global, open, free, stable and secure cyberspace — grounded in international law, human rights, and multilateralism.
