Under the leadership of Stuart Hayes and the EEIT Council and Subcouncils, the expertise of our team has leveraged over 50 years of combined experience to drive innovation and growth. Together, we have successfully introduced resource-efficient solutions like friction reducers, corrosion inhibitors, and viscosity modifiers, which are making a positive impact in these expanding markets. This milestone reflects our commitment to providing value-added solutions and our dedication to sustainability and resource efficiency. As we look to the future, I am confident that the EEIT will continue to develop innovative, cost-effective products that meet the evolving needs of the oil and gas sectors. Correction regarding Evonik's High Performance Polymers business, including the PA12 (Nylon) business    Clarification of the incorrect reporting in Plastics News of October 15, 2024.*   Contrary to some claims in the media, Evonik's polyamide (nylon) business is not being considered for sale. Evonik's High Performance Polymers Polyamide 12 is one of its core businesses with strong growth prospects.   The 50% capacity expansion of the plant complex at the Chemical Park in Marl is one of the Group's largest investments to date. Additionally, substantial investments were recently made in a new research center at the site, reinforcing Evonik's commitment to innovation.   Evonik’s High Performance Polymers business line continues to include the brands VESTAMID®, VESTAKEEP®, VESTENAMER®, ROHACELL®, and others as part of its core business.   The portfolio is continuously being expanded to include more sustainable product types and new fields of application are being researched. The division recently published the life cycle assessments of more than 100 of its products in its Plastics Data Base.
