Gateway Station Data for Custom Simulations in the NCAT Platform
The Non-GEO Constellations Analysis Toolkit (NCAT) analytics platform hosts a comprehensive database containing millions of records, enabling users to effortlessly perform accurate simulations on any constellation system.
Among its various datasets, the NCAT database includes hundreds of gateway stations for the main LEO and MEO satellite systems, which are surveyed and updated multiple times throughout each year. These gateway stations are displayed within the NCAT frontend application, organized by the selected constellation system/s.
The data for each gateway station is sourced from multiple publicly available references, which are cited in each record for users to consult directly, should further verification be needed. The list encompasses both operational and planned gateway stations, derived from industry news and regulatory filings.
The NCAT application provides users with full flexibility to customize their simulations by selecting which gateway stations to include. They can enable or disable specific gateways and even add new ones to suit their needs (one by one or via CSV batch upload).
Additionally, as most gateway stations are recorded with precise geolocation data, users can visualize them on Google Maps using satellite imagery. This feature provides a valuable means for quickly verifying ground-network expansion, identifying the type of gateway station, and observing the construction progress based on available imagery.
Note: The refresh cycle for Google Maps satellite images is uncertain and may not reflect real-time updates.
The Non-GEO Constellations Analysis Toolkit (NCAT) is an assembly of easy-to-use analytics models to assess and benchmark LEO and MEO satellite constellations. To learn more about NCAT:
