G Craig Vachon’s Post

Built my first 'vibe coded' app (via Windsurf) to find/show the relevance of (prioritized) news articles/academic papers/podcast transcripts that address the intersection of #HumanRights and #AI. (With #Python for the backend and #JavaScript for the front end). Still needs some tweaking, but this is the first programing I have done in >20 years. 😉 #vibecoding #BeKind

Two cool things: I built it with relevancy tool with reinforcement learning and rudimentary human feedback (thumbs up or thumbs down); and a tool where people can individually define their community (geography or purpose). Hopefully we’ll clean it up and launch it to the @hrf community of human rights defenders.

Amazing!! I have also been tinkering with windsurf. I was able to create a rudimentary iOS mobile app and test it inside a simulator on my Macbook lite in about three hours. I plan to try the same excercise on Replit and Lovable next to see which one is less buggy.
