- Another way to get data into Jira is using the issue collector. Here's how it works. Instead of sending an email message, users can fill out a smaller version of a create form that's embedded on your website or in another application. A benefit of this method is better control of the data submitted from external sources. With this method, users complete form fields so the data is structured and better for reporting. The form can handle custom and required fields. This method also has additional capabilities like collecting feedback from non-Jira users. The requirements for using this feature are, application or project level admin access, and the ability to embed an HTML or JavaScript snippet into another website or application.
