Leveraging actions
- All automation rules must have one or more actions. This is the part of the rule that actually does something. Actions determine what is done or performed, like editing an issue, sending an email message, transitioning an issue, releasing a version, and more. Here's the list of action options. See the documentation for some example action use cases. The action is to send an email notification. in Jira terms, that means we'll need to add the send email action to our automation rule, and we'll use a variable to send the message to all customers involved. In our new rule, click the THEN Add action component on the right, then add the Send email action. Use the search box or categories on the right to find it, then click Send email to configure it. In the To field, select a variable from the dropdown list, or type in an email address. For this example, I'll select All customers involved, which is the same as what's done for the Request created notification that we disabled. Next, enter…
