- [Instructor] This self-service portal is a simplified interface that customers use to submit requests. You'll also see it called other names like the customer portal, help center, help desk, or service desk. And as I mentioned earlier, each service project has its own customer portal. Your application might have one project and portal, or one project and portal per support function or support team. Earlier in this section, I shared some portal URLs to bookmark. You can also send users to the portal home, to a specific request form, or to an individual request by changing parameters in the URL. Here are some example URL formats in cloud. The first URL will automatically redirect to a longer URL. Since this is the shortest and easiest URL, this is the one I share with users most often. The second URL specifies the specific portal and the specific request form to load. If you know which form the user needs to complete, it's nice to send them directly to it.
