- In a minute, we'll build our first custom workflow, but first we need to discuss statuses. Each step of a process is represented by a status which describes an issues current state. Here's a common development workflow example. The statuses name and color tells the user whether an issue is at the beginning, middle, or end of a process. In cloud statuses, in the beginning of a workflow are gray. Statuses in the middle are blue and final statuses are green. The colors are slightly different in server and data center and may vary depending on which version you have. Each status has a unique name and optional description and a status category, which also determines its color. Statuses are global elements and they're shared between workflows.
