Permissions for Matched Audiences, allow lists, and block lists in Business Manager

Last updated: 9 months ago

To help you manage your advertising efforts across your and partners’ ad accounts at scale, you can share Matched Audiences, allow lists, and block lists to ad accounts that need to use them through Business Manager. Sharing your Matched Audiences and lists in Business Manager allows you to:

  • Create a Matched Audience or upload an allow or block list once in Campaign Manager, instead of in each ad account you manage or work on.
  • Automatically update all shared instances of a Matched Audience, allow list, or block list by updating the original audience or list once.

To share a Matched Audience, allow list, or block list, you must be a Business Manager admin, but you don’t need access to the ad account the audience or list was created in.

As an admin, you can view all Matched Audiences, allow lists, and block lists owned by your ad accounts and shared with your Business Manager by partners. As a Business Manager employee or contractor, you can only view Matched Audiences and lists from ad accounts you have access to.

Here's a tip

After you share a Matched Audience, allow list, or block list, it can only be updated, deleted, or copied from the ad account it was created in.
