Whether you're building new skills or exploring a topic, the search bar helps you discover relevant content fast—tailored to your role, interests, and time.

Search for content in Learning

Use the Search bar in LinkedIn Learning to quickly find courses, videos, skills, and more that match your learning goals.

To run a search on your desktop:

  1. Enter keywords in the search bar at the top of any Learning page.

  2. Choose a suggestion from the dropdown as you type, or click the Search icon to view all results.

  3. Sort results using the dropdown in the right corner. You can sort by:

    • Best match
    • View count
    • Newest

Here's a tip

You can apply multiple filters at once.


Use quotation marks to search for an exact phrase (e.g., "soft skills").

Filter search results

Use filters in the left pane of the results page to narrow your search. You can filter by:

  • Content by: Choose between LinkedIn Learning’s catalog or content added by your organization (if your license is provided by your company).
  • Type: Filter by courses, videos, learning paths, or links.
  • Level: Select beginner, intermediate, or advanced.
  • Time to complete: Choose content that fits your schedule.
  • Software: Focus on tools or platforms you want to learn.
  • Custom tags: View content tagged by your organization (enterprise learners only).
  • Source: Limit results to content from your LMS (Enterprise learners only).

Preview a course (desktop only)

Click Summarize key learnings or Is this course a good fit for me? to launch an AI-powered preview. It gives you:

  • A summary of what the course covers
  • How it applies to your role
  • Who it’s designed for
  • Any skills you may need beforehand
