Cultural Events & Tourism Specialist | Tour Director | Founder of Languedoc Stays

When I first read the job description for becoming a Tour Director with WorldStrides , I found myself saying YES to every single bullet point—a first for me. There wasn’t a hint of doubt in my mind. I was up for this challenge and knew that it was the right fit for me. 7 months after my initial interview, I’m completely hooked. This is the most rewarding job I’ve ever done. I get to meet new people and share my love for the country I live in, whether it’s through culture, food, education, history or art. My audiences—curious students, teachers, and parents—are always eager to learn, and I love teaching them. Whether we’re playing impressionist-themed card games before visiting the Musée d’Orsay, exploring the French Revolution ahead of a trip to Versailles, or discussing the events leading up to World War II before visiting battlefields, these experiences are transformative—for both them and me. Our two-week immersions are an opportunity to step outside our everyday lives and embrace new experiences. For many students, it’s their first time on a plane, their first time away from home, or their first time in a country where they don’t speak the language. I feel privileged to nurture and encourage them through it all. Of course, there are challenges, but I love them too and I thrive on finding solutions. And the biggest highlights of all are the friendships that have formed by the time we all head home. Goodbye wonderful team Felix -Copeland from Kentucky and Colorado.

BS Animal & Veterinary Biosciences | Veterinary Assistant

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Loop Abroad alongside WorldStrides at the Junior Veterinary Academy in Washington, D.C. last week. As part of the support staff, I helped the veterinarians teach young students about veterinary medicine and animal care. This week was incredibly rewarding, and honestly, they ended up teaching me just as much. Throughout the week, we explored a range of hands-on labs and activities, from suturing and microscopy to blow darting, bandaging techniques, and many more. We worked with dogs, reptiles, and even livestock, allowing students to get a real-world glimpse into the diverse field of vet med. One of the highlights was our two days at the Smithsonian National Zoo, where we discussed animal behavior, listened to talks from zookeepers, and where students designed an enclosure and enrichment for their favorite animal. It was amazing to watch these middle schoolers dive into every lab with so much curiosity and enthusiasm— reminding me so much of me at that age. Their questions were thoughtful, their energy contagious, and their excitement reminded me why I fell in love with this field in the first place, and why I remain very excited to continue my journey to become a veterinarian.

Marketing Major with a minor in Graphic Design at Georgia College & State University

This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy with WorldStrides. I completed a three-week course in Consumer Behavior and Retail Strategies at Florence University of the Arts. Over five weeks in Europe, I traveled to 15 cities across Italy and spent 9 days in Portugal. This time abroad gave me a deeper appreciation for culture, community, and the ways people connect across the world. Alongside my studies, I was selected for a content creation internship with WorldStrides, where I captured and shared my life as a student in Italy on social media platforms. Overall, this experience broadened my perspective on global and digital marketing. It also pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me so much about myself and the world!

Graduate Teaching Assistant & Master of Science Business Analytics, University of South Dakota

My training at American University in Washington D.C. with WorldStrides opened my eyes to the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence and its deep integration in robotics. At first, I was captivated by the basics controlling robots manually but what truly amazed me was programming machines; teaching them to perform tasks that once seemed uniquely human. The potential is limitless, and this experience has fueled my passion for robotics. On my way back from training, I saw this in action: a robot at Sioux Falls Regional Airport Authority autonomously cleaning the hallways (picture attached). It's incredible to witness how quickly AI technologies are becoming part of our everyday lives. This is just the beginning; I'm excited to dive deeper into AI and robotics, explore more applications, and contribute to this transformative field. The future is automated! #AI #Robotics #MachineLearning #Innovation #FutureTech #AmericanUniversity #WorldStrides

  • For 20 years, Jamye Richmond has traveled with WorldStrides—and for all 20, she's partnered with her dedicated Account Manager, Melissa Aleshire. Over the years, both of Jamye’s daughters traveled with her as students. Now, one of them, Kasye Berend, is a teacher leading her own travel program with us. This spring, Jamye chaperoned Kasye’s very first trip—bringing their story full circle. What started as a tradition of student travel has become a family legacy of life-changing experiences. 💙✈️ #WorldStrides #EducationalTravel #TeacherLeader #GenerationsOfTravel #ExperientialLearning
