When you wake up in the morning, what’s the first thing you tackle - coffee ☕️ or spreadsheets 📊? We posed this question to Cribl’s Zachary Johnson and Mercury’s Daniel Kang, but we’d love to hear your thoughts as well!

Earlier this year we co-led Misha Laskin, Ioannis Alexandros Antonoglou and the ReflectionAI team's Series A. Today we're thrilled to see this team introduce Asimov to the world.
Excited to see ReflectionAI ship Asimov, the code-research agent. Why it matters: - Engineers waste ~70% of their week re-reading code, not writing it. - Most AI tools chase code generation and choke on real-world repos. - Lost context = stalled roadmaps and runaway burn. What's new: 1. Integrated knowledge graph – Asimov ingests code, docs, tickets & chat so answers reflect business logic, not just syntax. 2. Team memories – one “remember X works in Y way” updates the org forever. 3. Multi-agent architecture – a big reasoner orchestrates small retrievers, scaling to millions of LOC without melting GPUs. Proof: In blind tests across OSS monorepos, engineers preferred Asimov’s answers 60–80% of the time versus top incumbents. This leads to faster onboarding, fewer debug marathons, more shipping. Early partners are collapsing multi-day investigations into minutes. Code comprehension is the root node on the path to superintelligence—understand deeply before you act autonomously. I've been thrilled to be part of this journey CRV, and can't wait for you all to try it. The product waitlist is at https://lnkd.in/gV87qWG9

Time zips by when you’re having fun. Today we celebrate four years of partnership with Loop. Hannah Bravo and the team have enabled over 5,000 brands to capture more than $2.5 billion in revenue and we can’t wait to see what metrics they soar past in the future.

CFOs are full of surprises. We asked Cribl’s Zachary Johnson and Mercury’s Daniel Kang to spill the beans 🫘 on their go-to financial tool or hack at our CFO Executive Roundtable.

"In a hurricane even turkeys can fly". For years, the only graph that mattered to software founders and investors was the growth of AWS. "Rising tide lifts all boats" Now, the only chart that matters is Anthropic/OpenAI growth We are always grasping for a proxy for the industry growth. Are we in a growth market? Are we catching a wave? How big is the wave? This is a big wave! I saw this chart from Deedy Das on x, link in first comment.

We learned a lot from our CFOs (Cribl’s Zachary Johnson, Mercury’s Daniel Kang and Vercel’s Marten Abrahamsen) during our recent executive roundtable. Turns out, the role is getting an upgrade! Here’s how top CRV backed CFOs define their role in 2025.
