I tend to read and consider all criticism, despite knowing that you do need to have a tough skinned and realise that there will always be people that your creativity or work does not resonate with. I think it is worthwhile looking into all feedback and find something in it to consider for improvement. Sometimes thats enough. I also like to ask "Is the feedback or criticism from my intended audience?" If it is a niche topic or endeavour then it may simply not appeal to everyone. And that is also ok.

Address things head-on without trying to explain yourself to people who don’t want to understand. Speak to your core audience. Let them hear it from you, raw and real.

Acknowledge their perspective and bring yours with humility. I found that really difficult but I believe that was the best decision given the information I had at the time.
