That’s a wrap. The dust has settled on EUROBIKE 2025 and despite it being a little quieter than previous years, it's clear the industry is as resilient as ever. We asked the team for their top 5 takeaways from Europe’s largest cycling show... 1. Market Realities: A Quieter Yet Focused Show 🎯 This year, the show felt a bit more subdued, with a noticeable decline in the number of stands and visitors compared to previous years. This atmosphere fostered more focused conversations, with many discussions centered on refinement rather than broad expansion! 2. Connectivity & Tracking: The Unfolding Story 📖 Connectivity and tracking remain hot topics, especially in driving down pricing and adding value post-purchase. While not yet the industry "game changer" some expected, the potential is undeniable. Brands are seeking ways to better educate customers, particularly those with older demographics, on the benefits. We're seeing a strong push towards making more e-bikes connected by default, with Riese & Müller GmbH being a prime example of this strategic shift! 3. Innovation Shines: USB-C Charging & More! 🔋 Despite the broader market challenges, innovation continues to drive the industry forward. Huge congrats to our friends at Ampler Bikes on winning the prestigious Gold Award in the e-bike category for their new 'Nova' model! Their industry-first USB-C charging capability is a brilliant step towards greater convenience for cyclists everywhere. This kind of thoughtful design truly sets a new standard. This represents a huge opportunity, particularly as lease companies approach the end of initial contracts 5. Beyond the Bike: Ecosystems & Global Sourcing  🌍  Manufacturers and retailers are increasingly prioritising the "ecosystem" - choosing partners who can seamlessly integrate with multiple parties to offer a comprehensive customer experience. This extends to sourcing, as we're seeing more customers seeking replacements from up-and-coming Asian brands like Winspace Cycling Co., LTD, Xiamen Farsports co. ltd, Light Bicycle and Light Carbon. Building strong relationships with these global suppliers is invaluable in providing customers with the widest choice and supporting their claims effectively! It’s clear the industry is navigating a complex and dynamic landscape, but the unwavering drive for innovation remains unchanged! At Laka, we’re committed to being a key part of that ongoing evolution and rewriting the rules of insurance, providing the specialised coverage the industry needs to keep moving forward. A big thanks to Damisola and Insurance Post for the "Big Interview" and the opportunity to share more about Laka's ambition to become a category leader in Green Mobility. Earth Day isn’t just a date in the diary... It’s about respecting the places we ride, cleaning up after ourselves (aka no littering), and swapping cars for bikes whenever we can. ALL year long. Behind the scenes, we’re taking real action to reduce our environmental impact by salvaging and recycling damaged bikes. When bikes are damaged beyond repair, we work with specialist partners to recover usable parts and recycle the rest - giving valuable materials a second life and keeping them out of landfill. We’re proud to be doing our part to support a circular economy and help create a more sustainable future for micromobility. Let's ride responsibly, today and every day. We had an absolute blast supporting the Women’s Ride with Ride Bristol last weekend. The sun was out and we hit the trails with an amazing group of women who live and breathe MTB. We’re super proud to back Ride Bristol and their mission to build, maintain, and protect our local trails! Our recent donation has made a real impact: it's help train three new ride leaders, enabling Ride Bristol to host even more group rides and community events like these.
