We are proud to announce that Nexans is supporting Agathe PAULI - PLY a remarkable Paralympic swimmer whose journey inspires us all. Born with a limb difference, Agathe has never let anything hold her back. At just 18 months, she took her first steps, defying expectations. By age 5, she discovered swimming, and by 7, she was already competing. Today, Agathe is a triple French champion, a World and European medalist, and a finalist at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. What inspires us most? Agathe calls her difference an "asset" and chooses to train alongside able-bodied swimmers, constantly pushing her boundaries. Her determination mirrors our own mission: giving everyone the power to electrify the future with impact, no matter the starting point. We are honored to stand by Agathe as she prepares for her third World Championships this September in Singapore. For the first time in France, high and extra-high voltage cables will be recycled and reinstalled on the national grid. What if mentors learned just as much as mentees? That’s the idea behind the cross-mentoring program launched jointly by Nexans and Sonepar a bold move to spark real conversations between senior leaders and emerging talents across our two organizations. 🎯 The goal? To connect people with different leadership styles, experiences, and perspectives and create a space where everyone can grow. Over 12 months, duos of mentors (from Comex/Topex) and mentees (N-1/N-2) explored key topics like team management, public speaking, and leadership posture, supported by group sessions, individual coaching, and peer learning. 💡 What makes this program special is the level of trust it reflects between Nexans and Sonepar and our shared belief that investing in people is what drives stronger partnerships. 🚢 Nexans Electra enters outfitting phase at Ulstein Verft A key milestone has been reached in the construction of Nexans Electra, our next-generation cable-laying vessel. The hull has arrived in Ulsteinvik, Norway, where the vessel will undergo full outfitting and systems integration. Built for the increasing complexity of offshore projects, Nexans Electra is engineered to deliver: ▪️ High-capacity subsea cable transport and installation ▪️ Precision operations in harsh environments ▪️ Lower carbon footprint through hybrid propulsion and shore power With a 10,000-tonne split deck turntable, a 3,500-tonne underdeck turntable, and a 450-tonne fiber optic tank, Nexans Electra is designed to handle large volumes of HVDC and HVAC cables, whether for deep-sea interconnectors, offshore wind, or repair missions. 🎯 Delivery is set for 2026.
