🚢 Nexans Electra enters outfitting phase at Ulstein Verft A key milestone has been reached in the construction of Nexans Electra, our next-generation cable-laying vessel. The hull has arrived in Ulsteinvik, Norway, where the vessel will undergo full outfitting and systems integration. Built for the increasing complexity of offshore projects, Nexans Electra is engineered to deliver: ▪️ High-capacity subsea cable transport and installation ▪️ Precision operations in harsh environments ▪️ Lower carbon footprint through hybrid propulsion and shore power With a 10,000-tonne split deck turntable, a 3,500-tonne underdeck turntable, and a 450-tonne fiber optic tank, Nexans Electra is designed to handle large volumes of HVDC and HVAC cables, whether for deep-sea interconnectors, offshore wind, or repair missions. 🎯 Delivery is set for 2026.
