In its 20 years, Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program (TSCFP) has facilitated 45,000 transactions, valued at $57 billion. But its contribution to trade and development is not best indicated by numbers. Its largest source of pride has been in partnership, nurturing trade which in turn nurtures human progress itself. That’s why ADB TSCFP’s awards recognise some transactions and partnerships which have transformed the industry over the last year. Thank you everyone for attending the event, and for your incredible contributions to trade finance! #TSCAwards2024 Cathy Marsh Steven Beck Zuzana Franz Inga Leitzbach ODDO BHF BIDV (Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam) HDBank Can Sütken Roberto Leva Neha Noronha Ankita Pandey Aparna Soni Carmen María Ramírez Ortiz

Expanding SME Participation Through Sustainable Finance in Uzbekistan We are delighted to reflect on the successful conclusion of a two-day workshop held on June 25-26 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, jointly organized by EBRD Trade Facilitation Programme, GEI and SME F&D programmes, alongside ADB TSCFP. This event brought together professionals and experts from Uzbekistan’s banking sector to exchange insights on the latest developments in Trade Finance. The workshop emphasized enhancing access to trade finance for SMEs and women-owned businesses — key drivers of sustainable and inclusive economic growth. The discussions featured diverse perspectives from commercial banks, entrepreneurs, and international financial institutions, focusing on overcoming both demand and supply-side barriers. The dialogue highlighted the evolving landscape from traditional debt financing toward innovative trade finance solutions tailored to business needs. We extend our sincere gratitude to all speakers, participants, and partners for their valuable contributions. Together, we remain committed to strengthening intra-regional connectivity and advancing a greener, more inclusive, and digitally integrated Uzbekistan. Trade finance stands out as a powerful catalyst to realize these strategic priorities. Special thanks to the ADB TSCFP team — Steven Beck, Ankita Pandey, and Neha Noronha — for partnering with us on this first-ever joint event! We truly appreciated the collaboration and look forward to many more workshops like this in the future.
