𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐭 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 — 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲. Non-dilutive financing is playing a growing role in how startups scale. But with persistent misconceptions, we wanted to offer founders and CFOs a clear, straightforward conversation on what debt can really do for a business. Tuesday morning, we hosted a breakfast session at Clipperton’s office with: ▪️Guillaume Nordlinger, Principal ‒ Portfolio & Transactions at Partech, & Pauline Paquet, Director of Operations at XAnge, who opened with a VC perspective on how debt fits into a startup’s growth path ▪️Fabrice Marsella, Director at La Banque des Startups by LCL, who laid out how banks are supporting startups ▪️Laurence de Rosamel, Partner at Clipperton who offered a deep dive into ARR-based financing and its relevance in today’s market ▪️Cyril Fessard, CFO of Wandercraft, who shared concrete lessons from his own experience with debt At XAnge, we believe that managing debt is as important as managing the company’s equity story, to successfully support its trajectory. Grateful to all who joined, and a big thank you to our co-host and partners, Partech, Clipperton & La Banque des Startups by LCL, for making this conversation possible. #startups #CFO #founders #debt #nonDilutiveFunding #scaling #venturedebt #VC

🐸 As the story goes: Put a frog in boiling water - it jumps. Put it in warm water and heat it slowly - it stays until it’s too late. That’s exactly where we are with the climate crisis. Today at HLTH Europe in Amsterdam I had the opportunity to discuss what this means for our health, together with Otto Birnbaum and Karen Piontek on a powerful panel. What we’re seeing already: → More heat-related illnesses → New infectious disease patterns → Mental health challenges driven by climate anxiety → Water scarcity - even in places we didn’t expect 📚 Perfect timing that I had seen Dr. Helena Ponstein delivering a brilliant keynote at Founders Kite Club just a few days before. A few key takeaways: 🌡️ 2024 was the hottest year ever, at 1.55°C above pre-industrial levels 🕒 We’re already 10 years ahead of the worst-case climate projections 🌍 Northern Europe is shifting to a Southern European climate in under a century 🌊 Sea levels will rise by at least 50 cm, whether or not we hit climate targets The climate crisis is not a future scenario. It’s here. And it’s reshaping how we live, work, and stay healthy. Shoutout to Lina Behrens & HLTH Europe for the awesome location and the love you could see in every little detail. I can highly recommend to visit next year if you missed it! Thx for the support and XAnge and Sebastian Heitmann 🙏🙏🙏 #ClimateHealth #HLTH2025 #FutureOfHealth #ClimateAdaptation #NetZero #ClimateAction #Impact

Last week, during Viva Technology, we hosted not one but two side events designed to spark real conversations and forge meaningful connections among Europe’s most ambitious founders. 🌍𝘚𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦 — 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘮 Just steps from our Paris office, we co-hosted a vibrant cocktail dinner with Notion Capital, Lakestar & Chausson Partners. Nearly 200 guests joined us, from rising founders to leading European VCs, filling the room with sharp ideas and great energy. It was a powerful snapshot of Europe’s scaling ambition in action. With co-hosts Claire Walker, Itxaso del Palacio, PhD and Thomas Diehl (Notion Capital), Odin Hoffmann and Sri Ayangar (Lakestar) & Laurence Hémery (Chausson Partners). 🗽𝘜.𝘚. 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘋𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 (𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘴 𝘌𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯) After a successful first edition in Berlin, our U.S. Expansion Dinner series landed in Paris. We gathered a curated group of founders for an intimate, insight-rich discussion on what it really takes to scale into the U.S. market. Proudly supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Zendesk for Startups, who share our commitment to helping European startups grow globally. Shoutout to Cécile Bulle (AWS) & Hannes Awe-Ortmeier (Zendesk for Startups). 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥, 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦.

At INSEAD’s 21st Annual PE/VC Conference, Managing Partner at XAnge, Cyril Bertrand joined Yoann Caujolle (Rockby) and Thomas Schneider (Isomer Capital) for a panel on “𝐄𝐱𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐋𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬”. The conversation brought together leading perspectives from venture, buyout, and institutional capital at a moment when the traditional paths to liquidity are under pressure. With IPOs on hold and M&A only beginning to rebound, secondaries are stepping in. No longer just a fallback, they’re now a strategic way to manage older funds, unlock liquidity, and stay flexible as pricing stays volatile and timelines stretch. #INSEAD #PEVC2025 #Secondaries #Liquidity #VentureCapital #PrivateMarkets #Exits #XAnge
