#URC2025 🇺🇦 🇪🇺 Proparco strengthens its support for the Ukrainian private sector: at the Ukraine Recovery Conference, Proparco announced its participation in EDFI Ukraine, a new joint European Development Finance Institutions (EDFIs) investment programme aimed at supporting the private sector. ✔️ The programme targets critical investments in renewable energy projects, as well as in private companies operating in Ukraine across key sectors such as agri-business, manufacturing and industrial development, transport and logistics, and digital technology. It will also invest in private equity funds contributing to Ukraine’s reconstruction and recovery. The 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (#FfD4) has come to an end. Last week in Seville, the #FfD4 brought together global leaders to rethink the international financial architecture and mobilise the resources needed to meet the Sustainable Development Goals. 💡Our CEO Françoise LOMBARD and Deputy CEO Jean-Baptiste Sabatié took part in key conversations and reaffirmed Proparco’s strong commitment to scaling sustainable finance and unlocking private capital for impact. To overcome persistent barriers and accelerate capital mobilisation, we must: 🔹 Advocate for stronger coordination, greater visibility, and aligned standards to increase impact 🔹 Reaffirm the unique role of DFIs as capital connectors—not substitutes—through a wide range of tools (guarantees, data sharing, market creation) 🔹 Support the mobilisation of domestic private capital in Africa, by strengthening local financial systems, fostering innovation, and improving investment environments 🌽Proparco also underlined nutrition as a core part of its strategy, financing the entire agri-food chain, from production to access, through loans, equity, blended finance (via the #FARM initiative), and technical assistance. 📢 In parallel with FfD4, Proparco announced two major projects that embody capital mobilisation in action: ➡️Our partenrship with AXIAN Telecom as inchor investor is a clear example of private capital mobilisation at scale to accelerate digital inclusion  ➡️We partnered with ILX Management through a new syndicated B-loan. This showcases our mobilisation strategy : mobilising more private capital towards sustainable development FfD4 reminded us that #mobilisation is essential.
