[Our own way 🙌] “I feel honored to work on such a large-scale project. It’s amazing!” On the worksite, Joëlle is the boss. Follow her for a tour of the cable transport project led by COLAS Madagascar with POMA in the heart of Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. Our Site Supervisor is managing the crew building the stations of this new system. It's a high-precision job. The goal of this project is to enhance mobility for residents and tourists in an urban area congested with traffic. On this major project, nearly 450 employees are being mobilized to work on utility diversion, deep foundations, stations, and more. [Solidarité et engagement à Mayotte] 🌀Le 14 décembre 2024, le cyclone Chido a frappé Mayotte avec une violence inédite, causant des dégâts considérables sur l’ensemble des infrastructures de l’île. Cette catastrophe naturelle a gravement touché les habitations, les routes, les réseaux d’eau et d’électricité, ainsi que des établissements essentiels comme l’hôpital et de nombreuses écoles. Compte tenu de sa présence sur l’île et de son engagement sociétal dans le domaine éducatif, COLAS a choisi de se mobiliser aux côtés des acteurs locaux en signant une convention avec le Rectorat de Mayotte. 🎓 Dans le cadre du plan de reconstruction « Mayotte Debout », nous avons lancé une initiative de mécénat de compétences pour contribuer à la réhabilitation du LYCEE POLYVALENT YOUNOUSSA BAMANA de Mamoudzou, fortement endommagé par le cyclone. Nos équipes interviendront bénévolement pour reconstruire le premier étage de trois bâtiments (29, 30 et 31), permettant ainsi la réouverture de salles administratives et d’espaces dédiés au personnel enseignant. 🤝 Cet engagement s’inscrit dans notre volonté d’agir en soutien à la jeunesse mahoraise et à l’éducation, pilier essentiel de la reconstruction. 🙏 Nous remercions chaleureusement : - La société Algoé et son dirigeant Sixte De Maillard, pour leur accompagnement dans l’élaboration du contrat de mécénat, - Le cabinet d’architectes Tand’M et Stéphane Aymé, pour la modélisation du projet de rénovation, essentielle à la réussite des travaux. [Our own way 🙌] “Never give up!” New beginnings in the face of disaster 🌹 Take a deep dive into the work that Sully-Miller Contracting Co., our subsidiary in southern California, USA, is carrying out following the devastating fires that hit Los Angeles in late January. In the northern part of the city, the Eaton Fire wiped out whole neighborhoods and damaged or destroyed over 10,000 structures. As Team Lead Bernardo explains, fifteen Sully-Miller teams are working at a pace of one to two days per lot, clearing out the debris from what used to be someone’s house and recycling the materials removed. Our subsidiary is doing its part to help the people here start to rebuild, and at some lots even leaving a rosebush behind. [Together 💛 ] New scientists in the making?🧪 We recently welcomed about 10 young women from Rêv'Elles, an association working for equal opportunities and the professional integration of women, to the CORE Center, our research and development center in the Paris region. As part of this guided visit to our labs that design and develop products and technologies that address energy transition priorities and respond to new usage patterns, the participants learned more about our activities and different scientific and technical fields. It was an opportunity for them to get a behind-the-scenes look at our innovations and ask our employees questions about their jobs and experience 👏 This visit was organized as part of a partnership between Rêv'elles and the Colas Foundation. Our foundation believes in equal opportunities and supports initiatives such as this one that promote the social and professional integration of children and young people. [Press release 📢] ETF (lead company) and Colas Rail were chosen by the construction consortium Dragados SA – BESALCO to build a new railway line in Chile for the national rail network Empresa de los Ferrocarriles del Estado - Grupo EFE.   Over three years, the teams will dismantle the existing track, provide the materials (track, sleepers, ballast and overhead lines, etc.), and commission the second stretch of the Alameda–Melipilla line, spanning 21.5 km.   🚉 This line will connect the capital Santiago with the south-west of the country and be used by 57 million passengers each year, cutting travel times by about an hour.   After winning a contract to maintain Santiago’s five metro lines at the beginning of the year, this new project solidifies Colas Rail’s roots in Chile.   To learn more 👉https://lnkd.in/efVu9D8w   #WeOpenTheWay #CreatingConnections

[Press release 📢] Making strides in the Last Frontier 👏   COLASKA INC has been selected by the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities to carry out infrastructure work in the Haines region, located in the south-east of the state. For this contract worth over €52 million and involving a team of 60 people at peak activity, work began in April 2025 and will continue until October 2027.   The project will involve: ✅ Reconstructing and widening 5 miles of roadway ✅ Replacing 1 large bridge ✅ Installing two 19-foot wide by 15-foot-tall debris flow culverts ✅ Carrying out excavation and backfilling work ✅ Producing and laying aggregates and asphalt mixes   These works, which aim to modernize the only road connecting Haines to the rest of the territory, will improve safety, facilitate trade, and support the local economy by promoting job creation, training, and local businesses.   To learn more, read the press release here 👉https://lnkd.in/eZHSwCan   Colas USA #WeOpenTheWay #CreatingConnections
