    Our “One BIC, One Book, Two Classics” campaign—developed by BIC Brasil in partnership with VML Brasil—was honored with three Lions at this year’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity: 🥈 Silver Lion | Design: Special Editions & Bespoke Items 🥈 Silver Lion | Print: Innovative and Adapted Use of Print & Publishing 🥉 Bronze Lion | Industry Craft: Art Direction in Print & Publishing The campaign also earned nominations in categories spanning illustration, data curation, technology and transformative design. These accolades celebrate BIC’s creative relevance on the global stage—where tradition meets innovation and a single pen can still tell a powerful story. The project was brought to life to mark the 75th anniversary of the BIC Cristal pen in an innovative way. A robot guided by artificial intelligence rewrote Shakespeare's classic Romeo and Juliet using a single BIC Cristal pen, recreating the author's original handwriting. The result was 212 handwritten pages with about 3 km of writing that took place over 20 days.

    Last month, BIC proudly showed up as an official sponsor of the Rio Book Fair—one of Latin America’s biggest celebrations of reading and imagination. Teams brought the joy of writing and creativity to life inside our interactive, color-filled booth. Kids had a blast diving into comic strip workshops and even animated their drawings, and adults explored our latest range of Human Expression tools. BIC booth attendees left with a little something from their visit—nearly 34,000 gifts and 10,000 personalized Polaroid keepsakes were given away. “Being at the Biennial is reinforcing our commitment to education, creativity and the power of writing. Seeing thousands of people interacting with the brand shows that we remain relevant and connected with the new generations,” said Olivier De Bruyn, General Manager, BIC BrAr. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth--moments like these remind us that creativity is everywhere, and creativity is for everyone.✍️

    What happens when you invite artists to reimagine a cult classic like the BIC lighter? You get over 1,500 brilliant entries and one unforgettable art battle in Amsterdam. 🔥 In partnership with Artcrush Gallery, we launched a creative competition across Belgium and the Netherlands, asking artists to transform an everyday object into a true work of art. On June 19, 12 finalists rose to the challenge and brought their designs to life during a high-energy, live showdown using BIC products and tools as their medium. Six artists were then selected using a blended voting process that considered community input with expert curation. The winning designs will appear on 40,000 limited-edition BIC lighters, available later this year in Belgium and the Netherlands. All 12 finalists’ creations will return in a second drop in 2026. Congrats to all the participating artists, and thanks to our fantastic partners: OMD Belgium and Luxembourg, Artcrush Gallery, Ketchum Brussels and BE_Magnetik. 🙌

    We’re beyond proud to have hosted our first-ever BIC Inkspiration Workshop in Lagos, Nigeria! A hands-on, artist-led experience designed to nurture the next generation of creative talent. Over two inspiring days, we invited artists, influencers and media to take part in a personalized, immersive program. Attendees left with certificates and BIC products, but more importantly, with renewed confidence, practical skills and entrepreneurial insights to help turn their creativity into a career path. Led by Fola David and Oscar Ukonu, previous Nigerian winners of the BIC Art Master Africa, the workshop: 🖊️ Showcased the artistic potential of the BIC Cristal ballpoint pen ✍️ Focused on technical pen techniques and expressive storytelling 💼 Explored entrepreneurship and the business of creativity As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the BIC Cristal this year, our Inkspiration Workshop event was a powerful reminder of how a single pen can unlock self-expression, spark bold ideas and foster community.
