It doesn’t fly. It crawls. But without it, no launches would have taken place for many years. 🚛 For 25 years, “Titan” carried Ariane 5 from the final assembly building to the launch pad in Kourou. 2.8 km at 3 km/h with the 780 tonnes weighting launcher standing tall, on a rail-mounted table. Slow, but with pinpoint precision. With Ariane 6, a new chapter has begun – not just for the launcher, but also for the transport systems. The new generation of vehicles is just as impressive: 🔹 The central core rides on an Automated Guided Vehicle, following a metal strip embedded in the road to avoid even the smallest torsion. 🔹 The new booster transporter has 36 aircraft-grade wheels, can move sideways like a crab, and is symmetrical so it can switch directions instantly. 🔹 Once at the launch zone, an enormous winch system helps raise the launcher in 12 steps, directly on the pad under the mobile gantry. Built and operated by France’s space agency Centre National d'Études Spatiales, the Ariane 6 launch complex is a feat of engineering in itself – and so are the vehicles that make access to space possible. 👏 Hats off to the teams behind this unique choreography of strength and precision! When #Education meets imagination, there are no boundaries to hold us back. At ArianeGroup, our commitment goes beyond launchers and technologies – it’s about inspiring the next generation and sharing the values that drive space endeavours. One of our latest initiatives is a collaboration with the French graduate school e-artsup, l’école de la passion créative. We’re proud to present ‘Reach for the Stars’, a cooperative #VideoGame created by third-year students to spark curiosity about space among children and families. 🚀 This #Collaboration is a perfect example of how space can be a gateway to learning, creativity and dialogue between generations. Together with these young talents, we’re helping to make the #ChoosePassion spirit accessible, playful and inspiring for everyone. ➡️ Feel like testing the game? One year after #Ariane6 ’s inaugural flight, upcoming launches for #Copernicus and #Galileo confirm that Europe’s independent access to space continues to strengthen 🚀 #ArianeGroup was honored to be part of the event hosted by Ambassador Philippe Léglise-Costa to celebrate Bastille Day in France. It was a good opportunity to highlight how ArianeGroup provides critical infrastructure for Earth observation, navigation and strategic autonomy. As trusted European #RocketMakers , we proudly support the continent’s ambitions in space. Our teams are fully mobilised to build momentum across public and private stakeholders. Our warmest thanks to Représentation permanente de la France auprès de l’Union européenne 🇫🇷🇪🇺 , Ambassador Philippe Léglise-Costa to host this event and to Antonio Costa, President of the Council of the European Union, and Stéphane Séjourné, Executive Vice-President for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy at the European Commission, for the quality of our discussions. #14July #BastilleDay #MadeInEurope #StrategicAutonomy #EuropeanSovereignty

Building a more responsible space industry with #SolarEnergy! 🔆 On 10 July, we officially inaugurated the new #SolarPower facility at our Saint-Médard-en-Jalles Issac site (Gironde) – a key milestone in a long-term programme launched in 2018 to integrate #RenewableEnergy into ArianeGroup’s energy mix and reduce the carbon footprint of our operations. This 2,596 kWc facility comprises 5,970 solar panels installed across 18 carport structures, covering 720 parking spaces. It will supply around 18% of the site’s electricity needs with a 96% self-consumption rate. The project was realised in partnership with URBASOLAR and supports several key objectives: ✅ Secure our long-term energy supply and costs ✅ Contribute to the ecological transition by developing renewable and less carbon-intensive energy sources ✅ Optimise non-buildable land on our sites ✅ Lower peak demand on the public power grid ✅ Improve staff facilities with shaded parking Issac is one of four installations commissioned in 2025, alongside Le Haillan and two at Les Mureaux. Together, these projects enable #ArianeGroup to cross a symbolic threshold: 20% of our electricity consumption is now covered by renewable solar energy. 🔋 And we’re not stopping there. another project is under review for the Saint-Médard-en-Jalles centre site, and we are actively exploring wind-generated electricity integration. It is our ambition to reach 40% renewable energy by 2027. This initiative is part of our wider #SpaceForEnvironment commitment, one of three pillars of ArianeGroup’s sustainability strategy, alongside Space for humankind and Space for progress. It supports our ongoing efforts to cut overall site energy consumption by 30% by 2027 compared to 2017 – equivalent to the annual energy use of a town of 45,000 people. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ga8XqW-b Congratulations to all teams involved in this major achievement. And thank you Stéphane Delpeyrat, Gilles AMENDOLA and Sandrine San Martin for joining us for the inauguration on site. Let’s keep building a responsible future for European space together. 🚀 #Sustainability #SolarEnergy #SpaceIndustry

ArianeGroup and GKN Aerospace reinforcing their five-decade spanning partnership with new #Ariane6 contract. 🚀 This new Frame Contract for the operational phase of Ariane 6 secures Europe’s access to space for years to come. It is the first agreement between ArianeGroup and a major industrial partner as the new European launcher enters its industrial ramp-up. The agreement confirms GKN Aerospace’s continued deliveries to the Ariane 6 program throughout the launcher’s operational life, following its successful first flight in July 2024 and the first commercial mission in March 2025. It secures GKN Aerospace’s role in delivering mission-critical components for both the Vulcain 2.1 and Vinci engines – as Ariane 6 moves into its steady exploitation phase. With a growing launch cadence, a full order book, and a dynamic industrial ecosystem across 13 European countries, we are fully mobilised to secure Europe’s independent access to space for years to come. We’re celebrating a new milestone in a trusted partnership – and a collective European effort gaining strong momentum. #SpaceIndustry #RocketMakers #EuropeanSpace
