"When I joined trivago in 2021, I had no idea where the journey would take me. I had just left Brazil in 2020, after graduating with a degree in Psychology, in search of new adventures and opportunities abroad. I came to Germany as an Au Pair, planning to build a career in the HR field – little did I know what was ahead. I found an incredible opportunity at trivago, joining the User Support team as a User Support Operator. It was my first job in the tech industry, and I had to learn everything from scratch – from the unfamiliar jargon to new tools and processes. I never imagined how much I could grow in such a short time, and I owe so much of that to the support of my team and lead. One of the best parts of this role was being in direct contact with our users. It gave me a deep understanding of their pain points and sparked my passion for building user-centric products. From day one, I knew trivago was a special place – a place where, with dedication and hard work, I could truly grow. After three amazing years in my first role, filled with opportunities to collaborate and learn from multiple teams, I decided it was time for a new challenge: I applied for a Product Manager position. Now, several months into this new chapter, I can already see how much it has changed me and pushed me to be better every single day. QA insights, testing talks, and even a bit of magic – our annual QA meetup had it all! 🚀 Two weeks ago, we welcomed local QA enthusiasts to our office for a chance to learn from each other's wins and challenges, share knowledge, and connect. We heard from Anastasia Kuznetsova (trivago) on Request Batch Comparison for complex systems, followed by Andrei Khabarov (Qase) sharing insights on dogfooding and building features for QA engineers. Dobrin Visariev (trivago) showed us how to stay calm with Selenium BiDi, and Mohit Srivastava and Udita Sharma (Accenture) rounded out the talks with their take on accessibility testing. trivago is turning 20 this year, so we decided to celebrate this milestone by going back to the Roaring Twenties! ✨ Our annual summer party brought together our talents, their families and friends, and trivago alumni for a celebration that the Great Gatsby himself wouldn't want to miss. Everyone really understood the assignment, arriving in amazing costumes and outfits that brought the 1920s to life. 🎩 The venue perfectly captured the spirit of the twenties, offering entertainment for everyone – grown-ups and kids alike – with fun activities, mysteries, and live performances throughout the day. Another incredible memory made together! 🥂
