    Since 2020, Hennessy has supported the Yishu 8 · Golden Phoenix Award, promoting meaningful exchange and integration of Chinese and French craftsmanship. The 5th edition of the Award took place on May 25 at the historic site of the former Sino-French University. Diao Juan took home the award with her art pieces of Shu embroidery, a national intangible culture heritage. Her work employs traditional Shu embroidery stitching techniques with Western painting methods and contemporary aesthetics, transforming flat pieces into three-dimensional forms. The star medium of her work is silk, a noble material also familiar to Hennessy as it adorns the necks of our rare Cognac bottles.   • In celebration of 60 years of Sino-French diplomatic relations, Hennessy presented "Jeux de Maîtrise - Cognac and Pu'er" at this year's "Savoir-Faire Conversation" Exhibition in Shanghai hosted by Comité Colbert from 4-10 Nov.   Guests were able to engage in a comparative sensory dialogue between two iconic Hennessy blends and carefully selected Pu'er teas. Though cognac and Pu'er tea each have their own unique qualities, both are created through aging processes that give them their distinct aromas. The light roundness and elegance of Hennessy V.S.O.P was mirrored by a delicate Pu'er tea, while the depth and richness of Hennessy X.O found its counterpart in the complex layers and lingering finish of an aged Pu'er tea.   This "Jeux de Maîtrise" offers the rare opportunity to appreciate the artistry and heritage that define both Hennessy cognacs and Pu'er tea, all while celebrating the dedication of their respective craftsmen.   • With this year marking the 60th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relations, Hennessy joined LVMH Group at the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) – running from 5-10 Nov in Shanghai. While this is Hennessy’s fifth year at CIIE, our presence in China dates back to 1859, when our first shipment of cognac arrived in Shanghai, marking the beginning of a century-long relationship. For 165 years, Hennessy has sought to foster cultural connections, while paving the way for a sustainable future. Highlights include an LVMH sustainability panel discussion with the launch of the Hennessy 2023 Sustainability Report; a preview of the exquisite “Reimagination” collection designed by Chinese fashion designer Shuting Qiu for Chinese New Year 2025; and a tasting bar open to the public, featuring our signature cocktails. Beyond celebrating our legacy of craftsmanship, we are also taking CIIE as an opportunity to promote sustainability efforts in China.     Connecting France and China through “Living Soils” 8-9 Oct, the 2nd edition of the Moët Hennessy World Living Soils Forum (WLSF) took place in Arles, France, with simultaneous satellite events in both China and the US to expand this forum’s international impact. Spanning two days, the event was joined by 190+ speakers and 600+ participants from around the world. For the forum’s first ever China satellite event, MH China and our 27 maisons brought scientists, experts, NGOs, enterprises, and entrepreneurs to Ningxia to discuss state-of-the-art and best practices when it comes to soils.
