As a Field Maintenance Electrician at our Goonyella Riverside Mine, Jacob spends his shifts helping with machinery breakdowns, high voltage switching and fault finding. But, for the next three months, he will be putting down the tools and jumping on the bike to complete the ‘4 Points Challenge’ – a 17,000km ride reaching the four most extreme points of Australia. With an aim to cycle at least 12 hours every day, he’s glad he has his dad coming along as support crew. ‘I grew up in central Queensland and my father worked in the mines. We've signed contracts with COSCO Shipping Bulk Co. for the charter of two ammonia dual-fuelled Newcastlemax bulk carriers. These vessels will be two of only a handful in the world capable of using ammonia as a marine fuel.
