Digital access means access to education, employment, healthcare, and connection – yet many Australians are being left behind. That’s why we’re proud to be a member of nbn® Australia’s Low-Income and Digital Inclusion Forum (LIDIF). Programs like the School Student Broadband Initiative (SSBI) have already made a real difference, and we’re committed to going even further to address the barriers to living in a connected, digital world. #DigitalInclusion #LIDIF #SSBI #AussieBroadband #ConnectivityForAll
NBN Co chairs the Low-Income and Digital Inclusion Forum, which brings together stakeholders from across the telecommunications industry, not-for-profit organisations, customer advocacy groups, government agencies, and research organisations to address key barriers to digital inclusion. The second annual report has been published, covering the forums activities from July 2024 to June 2025. It details efforts to uplift digital inclusion for social housing residents, initiatives related to increasing connectivity literacy, and work on developing potential nbn basic connectivity alternatives.
