On June 2, It was an honor to open the 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 in Vienna.                                                    For us at the Vienna Institute for Global Studies (VIGS), this marked more than the start of a new academic cycle. It was a celebration of 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐚’𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡, and a tribute to 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐲𝐞, the Vienna-born pioneer whose groundbreaking work continues to shape our understanding of health and human resilience. As Deputy Director of VIGS, I was proud to see this project reflect our broader research focus on 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠. It was especially meaningful to welcome not only leading professors, psychiatrists and hard scientists from across disciplines, but also former students of Hans Selye himself, whose presence and stories connected us directly to the roots of this field.                                                        This Summer School embodies what 𝐕𝐈𝐆𝐒 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨: collaborative science, shared learning, and advancing knowledge that supports people and societies. We were truly happy to bring this initiative to life.                                                        #VIGSInstitute #HansSelye #ViennaLegacy #StressScience #WellbeingResearch #TheNext25 #ViennaEvents

Researching states' role in innovation-entrepreneurship-startup ecosystems || socioeconomic & state-related context of emerging technologies || empowerment through education. ASPEN CE'25. Vienna - Budapest - Erlangen

There are conferences where you are anxious, because you do not know the "vibe" and how you will connect with people. And there are events where you can go, like going home. Last week, at the 33rd NISPAcee Annual Conference in Bratislava, I presented a new aspect of my beloved topic: "Evolution of startup policies of the last decade—a case study from a CEE country." Thank you for all the comments, questions, and the unexpectedly huge, active audience on Saturday early morning. Sitting down to write this post, I kept wondering: why I feel so at ease at this scientific conference? How can I run to the almost missed group picture without my regular overthinking? I got curious and started counting, and to my greatest surprise, I have already participated in 10 consecutive years! I am still processing, wow! It is really a number that should have been celebrated. (Anyway, I put my list in the comments for everyone asking where we have been together in the last ten years.) Thank you to the whole NISPAcee community for having me for so long, and the organizers for the wonderful event! Noted: I am aware that I have serious work to do on how to make LinkedIn-compatible conference pictures.

The Implementation Velocity Paradox: A Day's Work, A Quarter's Impact 🎓 Last week at Vienna Institute for Global Studies (VIGS), I led Merkit Consulting's team in a radical experiment challenging fundamental assumptions about AI implementation timelines. Working alongside Zoltán Csiba - Vox Sapiens, Till Aufderheide - VisualMakers, Péter Kovács and Adrian Pica, we compressed what traditionally requires months into a single day of focused creation. The result? Three functional prototypes addressing critical organizational bottlenecks in HR, sales conversion, and customer support—all operational by day's end. This experience reveals a profound truth about technological transformation: the constraints we accept are largely constructs of methodology rather than technical limitations. By integrating RPA+AI+WEBAPP architectures through a systems-oriented approach, we demonstrated that implementation velocity can be fundamentally reconceptualized. The strategic implications are significant. In markets where adaptive capacity determines competitive positioning, the ability to rapidly materialize technological solutions becomes a core organizational competency that transcends conventional development paradigms. What other perceived organizational constraints might be merely methodological artifacts waiting to be dismantled? #AcceleratedTransformation #ImplementationParadigms

From Concept to Working AI Prototype in Just ONE DAY! 💡⚡ We're proud to share that MerkIT Hungary participated in an exciting AI workshop at Vienna Institute for Global Studies (VIGS) last week, organized by Péter Kovács. Our co-founder and automation division leader, Gergely Romhány, represented MerkIT alongside tech innovators from Vox Sapiens - Zoltán Csiba and VisualMakers - Till Aufderheide, moderated by Adrian Pica. The challenge? Transform business ideas into functional AI prototypes in a single day using a powerful combination of RPA+AI+WEBAPP technologies. The teams successfully delivered three high-impact solutions: ✅ UC #1: Smart Hiring Assistant (HR) - Auto-extracting and scoring CVs to streamline recruitment drives and follow-ups with candidates ✅ UC #2: Lead-to-Meeting Converter (Sales/Admin) - Optimizing sales processes through lead pre-screening and automated booking, saving teams 70% of admin time ✅ UC #3: AI Support Desk - Enhancing ticket management with FAQ integration to improve resolution times and boost customer satisfaction Gergely and our team were thrilled to contribute to this intense collaborative effort, demonstrating that with the right expertise and approach, AI implementation can deliver immediate business value. This workshop showcased how Merkit's automation solutions can help organizations rapidly transform their operations. We're excited about the possibilities these prototypes open up for our clients! Have you been thinking about implementing AI in your business processes? Let's connect and discuss how we can help you turn ideas into reality efficiently. #AIInnovation #RapidPrototyping #BusinessAutomation #Merkit #AIWorkshop #DigitalTransformation
