Some of the people around me assume that I'm in college to be a veterinarian, but then when I tell them zookeeper, they give an odd look and then follow up with, 'Oh, nice...' So is it odd that I want to work as a zookeeper?

Hello everyone. I would love to work with animals for my career. But I don't understand if I should go for Animal Science or Zoology. Or both? I don't want to be a vet necessarily. I have no idea what to do after college.
