ENABLING GROWTH – CFAO SA'S COMMITMENT TO TALENT DEVELOPMENT “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”- Nelson Mandela. Education and training are essential levers for success. Talent development has consistently been a strategic priority for CFAO South Africa, driven by the belief that investing in our team is one of the most valuable decisions we can make. Campus South Africa and our Educational Trust are two elements that play a fundamental role in our People Strategy at CFAO South Africa. Campus South Africa by CFAO Campus South Africa started in February 2024. One of four Campuses within the CFAO Group, focused on developing our people, has trained over 300 people so far. We designed the curriculum to build and strengthen the competencies needed for the next generation of leaders, aligning with CFAO South Africa's long-term vision and strategic goals to foster ongoing growth. More than just a training platform, Campus South Africa creates a unique opportunity for diverse leaders from our subsidiaries to enhance cross-functional collaboration, share knowledge, and exchange best practices, making learning a common ground.  By leveraging our colleagues' experience and fostering shared learning, we are investing in future leadership capabilities and reinforcing our culture of engagement and inclusion. We understand that, as human beings, we feel more engaged when afforded the opportunity to learn and grow through development opportunities. The emphasis thus far has been on emotional intelligence, concentrating on the individual and their potential contribution to the performance of CFAO in South Africa. CFAO South Africa is an organisation where individuals feel they are growing with us and developing their careers, with skills development as a key focus. We aim to enhance our team’s experience throughout their journey while attracting the best talent in South Africa. CFAO SA Educational Trust Fostering growth extends beyond our colleagues. As part of our people-centric strategy, we are committed to developing tomorrow's talent. Consequently, the CFAO South Africa's Educational Trust programme, in collaboration with all our subsidiaries, supports the academic progress of our colleagues' children across primary, secondary, and tertiary education. Over the past year, more than 890 scholarship holders have benefited from this programme through financial assistance. It is also available to external students preparing for a qualification at a higher education institution who meet well-defined eligibility criteria. Developing people is at the heart of what we do. CFAO South Africa’s strong market knowledge leads us into the future CFAO South Africa, with almost 7,000 colleagues, offers the sale and rental of vehicles and trucks, supply-chain solutions, logistics management, material handling, assembly for the automotive industry, and the import and export of automotive components. This integrated mobility ecosystem, with strong market knowledge and partnerships, adds value to the marketplace. As a reliable and well-established partner, we possess extensive expertise across all our sectors. Although CFAO was established in South Africa in 2020, we celebrate the long-standing positions of all our subsidiaries. This year marks 40 years for CFAO Equipment SA’s Toyota Material Handling Division; CFAO Mobility SA has celebrated over 100 years; Subaru has been in Southern Africa for over 30 years; and Toyota Tsusho Africa and Africa Mobility Solutions have been integral to our legacy business for more than 25 years. This long-term perspective contributes to the CFAO group's more than 170 years of experience in Africa, which has helped us build and maintain our reputation. Collaboration within our team and our development of new brands is essential. The theme of trust and collaboration lies at the heart of our integrated mobility ecosystem. CFAO South Africa is committed to good corporate governance and has a zero tolerance towards bribery and corruption. In alignment with CFAO Group’s compliance principles, we are dedicated to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and have established a robust compliance program to ensure the highest standards of ethical behaviour. Three key compliance principles include: 1. The Code of Conduct and Ethics (COCE) drives our behaviour and actions and is based upon Toyota Tsusho Group’s Fundamental Philosophy and 10 key Creeds/principles.  2. The Anti-corruption Code of Conduct supplements the COCE and, through its practical guidelines, aims to strengthen the prevention of corruption risks.  3. “Speak-Up” is an independently managed Whistleblowing alert system, used to report illegal activities, unethical behaviour, safety violations, misconduct, or actions that violate the core principles of COCE. We encourage our colleagues and business partners to share any compliance concerns or instances of misconduct without fear of retaliation.
