    Britain’s most powerful supercomputer is now live and it’s ready to shape the future! The launch of Isambard AI, the UK’s flagship AI supercomputer based in Bristol, marks a major milestone for the nation’s capability in sovereign AI infrastructure.   Built on NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips and delivered in partnership with HPE, this system is now fully operational; ready to help power faster cancer screening through the NHS, accelerating clean energy breakthroughs, and equipping researchers and entrepreneurs with the compute they need to scale world changing ideas.   Alongside Dawn (Cambridge), Isambard forms the UK’s £350 million AI Research Resource boosting public compute capacity thirtyfold and ranking among the most powerful systems in Europe, already delivering results that conventional systems couldn't touch.   This is about more than compute, it’s about the UK making a defining leap in AI innovation that will save lives, secure energy futures, and strengthen economic growth, all while building truly sovereign digital infrastructure.   Truly incredible to see this vision brought to life by DSIT, the University of Bristol, HPE, and all our partners.
