3dNATO Great glad we’re showcasing visits and a new face in the press office, but in Berlin someone needs to say out loud what can really paralyze the Alliance in 24 hours. Not cyber-attacks, not little green men ONE spill in the Baltic or the straits is enough to choke off every supply line and freeze troop mobility. Nord Stream already proved how vulnerable maritime infrastructure is, and oil spreads faster than NATO can schedule a briefing. Where is the minute-zero plan? Where are the sorbent stockpiles ready to be dropped from the air? #AquaGuard one tonne of material “drinks” ten tonnes of oil in seconds and costs a fraction of a major exercise. Instead of yet another glossy brochure on “resilience,” install factories in frontline ports and show that “collective defence” also means protecting the sea that underpins the Alliance’s entire logistics network. Without a spill-response shield, NATO is a paper tiger on water. Maybe the next newsletter should feature not just the travel diary, but a budget line for real prevention. If anyone has the courage to put this on the agenda, let’s talk.
