How I Rock LinkedIn on a Sunday (and Why You Should Too)

LinkedIn is a beast, 24/7. But weekends? They hit different. The weekday hustle fades, and it’s like the platform takes a deep breath. You’re not here for a Monday morning sales pitch or a corporate sermon, right? Neither am I. Weekends are sacred—less about grinding and more about vibing. So when I post on a Sunday, I switch gears. Here’s how I do it, and maybe it’ll spark something for you too.

I’ve learned weekends are a mixed bag for people. Some are healing, some are hustling, some are just trying to breathe. Take me, for example—I burned out hard recently. Too many hours, too much stress, the whole mess. Now? Weekends are my reset. I still sprinkle in some work (because I’m wired that way), but I keep it chill. I get that not everyone’s scrolling LinkedIn on a Sunday for a work lecture. So I don’t preach—I connect.

Here’s my playbook for weekend posting:

Keep it light, keep it uplifting. People need a boost, not a burden. I love dropping something positive—a quick win, a good vibe—to kick off their weekend right.

Flip the dark stuff into gold. I don’t shy away from heavy topics (reality’s messy, and I’m not here to fake it). Burnout, stress, the grind—I’ll go there. But I frame it with hope, hacks, or a way to punch back and win.

Throw in some wildcards. Fun is my jam. I’ll share a random viral clip (public domain only!) or something quirky that makes people laugh. It’s a break from the norm, and the likes roll in.

Post what I’d want to see. This is my golden rule. If I wouldn’t stop scrolling for it, I don’t hit “post.” Simple as that.

Sunday LinkedIn isn’t about drowning people in work content—it’s about meeting them where they’re at. Lighter. Social. Real. I’ve had folks tell me my weekend posts feel like a coffee chat, not a boardroom lecture. That’s the win I’m chasing.

So, what about you? What’s your weekend posting style? Drop your tips below—I’d love to hear how you play it! And while you’re at it, give a follow to the amazing Lassie Zia—she’s pure gold. Thanks for all the support, you legends. Let’s keep rocking this platform, one post at a time!

So the statement was for us to share how we spend our Sundays on LinkedIn, Edward Zia. Well my Sundays vary week to week depending on what life throws at me, If I get to sleep in and relax on Saturday, I might use a Sunday to do some exciting business stuff, projects or plan for the week. But before I ever got involved with LinkedIn, I thought it was dead, like there was nobody to talk to and when I send personal InMail to a business, I would not even here back from the Author of the LinkedIn Profile. If it wasn't for you and the community group, I would have easily just walk away from the platform, thinking that LinkedIn doesn't serve it purpose.. So that's my view on posting on Sundays and LinkedIn Edward Zia!! What are your thoughts??

Interesting reading. Iv'e never thought of a different Sunday approach, apart from the fact that I normally have more time for it on sundays:)
