Emerging India: Part 3. To get the respectable entry in the power of world, Democracy has to answer the questions stated below.

We are all in the democratic world. We are in the world, where we choose our destiny whom we elect. We elect as per the manifesto so made. We choose the person as our representative who is just a common amongst us. When the person so elected is one of us, then does he rule us or serve us by his choice?

Concept of ruling is brought into by us in concept. We were ruled by Rajas, whose successors were from his Dynasty. King was King. And we were Praja. There was a Ruler who happened to be always right. We had to follow his dictates. Then the Muslim Dynasty, Moguls, and then the English. At least the Kings did not destroy our education. They merged their likings with the likings of the commons. But what did English do. They plundered our resources and made us beggers. Worse was that they even looted our system of Education. They gave us the system of creating clerks. Jack of all. And we adapted that system of education. And in the process, forgot ours. It was plundered. But saved . Reduculed by us but now accepted even by them.

Now, it is the interest of the nation and its people here, which can revive us as powerful nation. We have to bring a conceptual change to bring back our lost tradition, which is evaporating. We ought to bring the tradition back to India. Healthy ones off course.

Just as Ravindra Nath Tagore stated:

Where the mind is without fear,

, and the head is held high,

Where knowledge is free

Where the world has not

Been broken into fragments

By Narrow domestic walls

Where words come out from

the depth of truth.

Where tireless striving

Stretches its arms towards perfection

Where clear stream of reason

Has not lost its way

Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit

Where the mind is led forward by Thee

Into ever widening thought and action

Into that heaven of Freedom, My Father,

Let My Country awake.

There are Two questions , whose answer every Indian knows. But the answers are embedded in the question itself and in the prologue of the discussion.

1.  We call the politicians, and the word used for politicians in Democracy is Samaj Sevaks. They voluntarily take this option to serve the nation as well as the Persons of the nation. They seek votes from the public to do this seva., Their Job is to raise the voice of the people who has voted for them. Are they not answerable to the public? If not , why ? We have the remedy. Why we do not use it?

2.  There are officers, who are posted for executing the basic concepts in form of policies which are framed and executed. They are today in Administrative Services. They are designated to felicitate the works of the public who has provided them powers and execution rights through their representatives. They are appointed by Union Public Service Commission, and they are PUBLIC SERVANTS. Does it not raise a debate that when they are Public servants, then are they not responsible to the public?

3.  Are both the clans so mentioned above not answerable to the General Public?

The answer to these questions can bring the conceptual change in the tradition of India. There is no dearth of intelligent and creative human beings in the country. And when we have the majority given by the mass, then can’t the mass raise the issue for the change in system and education by bringing in the right innovative policy and move towards the dimensions so mentioned by the the Great Ravindra Nath Tagore?
