Most of the people fail to understand this platform and how to use it for their lead generation. They invest so much of their time and efforts but get nothing in return. That’s frustrating.

Like for example, You are selling something, you have been trying to connect so many people and they start showing interest the way you are doing your marketing. They will enter your profile and it contains nothing related to what you are selling or it contains information which is not professional at all. Then either the lead will consider you as a fraud or will not find your product worth buying.

So, try to keep your profile as strong as possible. Like 

  • Your genuine profile picture
  • A cover picture that reflects your brand
  • Your name
  • The Profile title that describes you
  • List all your Jobs with details
  • And your position in the company
  • The projects or jobs that you have accomplished until now.

Trust me!!! It means a lot while generating leads or creating a brand.

2. Target The HMPs i.e. Higher Management Profiles or The Decision Makers

LinkedIn is all about connecting to people and while generating leads, you should connect to HMPs or the decision-makers. Not every business has the CEO as the decision-maker. It depends on your type of business and what kind of leads you're looking for. You need to prospect before initiating the contact, then identify the needs, present your offer and that should be interesting because only your proposal will help you to close the deal, then manage any objection if any and then close the deal. Once your deal is closed and you have earned the trust, you can sell anything to your existing clients the way you want it to be.

3. Create Your Own LinkedIn Groups

It's a bit time consuming but once it’s done, you are all set for generating leads for your business.

Start making connections with the members in the group list. Don’t get too excited while connecting. A normal text can help you to serve the purpose. Start getting engaged with the quality conversation with the members and once you think that the level is achieved then just close the deal.

This can consume your months and months to drive the desired results but it will give you powerful and permanent results.

  • Initiate the contact by sending them a ‘connect’ request and a personalised message from your end. Don’t send the same typical generic message. Craft and send something that would help you to connect with your new connection.
  • Don’t try to sell anything on LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a platform to build meaningful relations and not to sell anything. If you will try to sell something then you will lose your quality connection.

LinkedIn is undoubtedly a crown winning social media platform for professionals.

Practising lead generation on LinkedIn can give you amazing results but it’s very time consuming and requires consistent hard-work.
