Warner Bros. Discovery’s Post

Last week, WBD proudly hosted an exclusive experience for nearly 100 students from the SkillsUSA Video News Production program in partnership with Skilled Careers Coalition to explore career pathways in news and sports media. From behind-the-scenes visits to our CNN and TNT Sports studios in Atlanta, to expert-led conversations with pros like Champ Bailey and a special visit from GA State Representatives Ron Stephens and Chris Erwin, these students were provided invaluable insight into what it takes to bring news and sports content to life on screen.

On the day my sister was martyred, the occupying army tightened its siege on our camp in al-Bureij, forcing her to be buried where she was. We knocked on the doors of the cemeteries of Nusayrat and al-Zawaida, but death was faster than the wind and the burial place was too small for the bodies. Only the cemetery of Deir al-Balah remained, and there were no empty graves there. I sat next to her for an hour, my body and I waiting for the earth to give us space for a farewell, as if we were waiting for permission from heaven to bury our pain. Until the cemetery attendant came and said in a broken voice: "There is no grave, but there is a mass grave in al-Maghazi where the seven martyr daughters of the Ismail family are buried. If you accept her as the eighth sister..." My sister and I had no choice but to accept. There is no more space in this city, not even for the dead. #Gaza today does not know where to bury its children. There are no farewell rituals anymore. The graves are full and the pain is overflowing. Sometimes... the shade of a tree is the only shroud for our loved ones. A Gazan
