There’s a common misconception that cybersecurity is purely a technical issue, far removed from everyday experience. But in reality, many breaches begin with simple, human moments: a missed warning, a convincing phishing email, or a confusing interface. That’s why I’m so inspired by the work of our design teams at Microsoft. As we continue evolving our security culture, design has become a quiet superpower – UX designers play a critical role in shaping how people interact with technology, and in turn, how we reduce risk. With new toolkits and design principles grounded in real user behavior and attack insights, we are helping teams build security into products from the start. When security is intuitive, it becomes second nature, and that is where true resilience begins. 💜 https://lnkd.in/d296J9Eu
Great insights, Vasu Jakkal! Security truly starts with human-centered design that makes safe behaviors intuitive. Pairing this with strong technical controls like email authentication helps create a truly resilient defense against phishing and social engineering attacks.
“This is such an important perspective. Security often breaks at the human layer, not the technical one — and making design intuitive is key to bridging that gap. Love how Microsoft is empowering teams to think about security as a built-in experience, not a bolt-on function. Quiet superpower indeed.” Thanks
