As the inaugural Moderate Power Venture Fund (MPVF) class closes out their time in the program, we'd like to highlight the work each organization achieved with their MPVF funding. The 2024-2025 grantees were The Next 50, WelcomePAC, and Young People's Alliance. Check out their hard work. 👇 This year, The Next 50 used their MPVF investment to transform their Civic Leadership Development Program (CLDP) into a comprehensive initiative supporting young, center-left elected leaders. The program engaged its endorsed leaders through events, peer mentorship, and a newly developed Best Practices Handbook with 100+ pages of governance and work-life balance strategies. CLDP also formalized a partnership with The NewDEAL—further embedding its work into the broader center-left leadership pipeline. 🍍WelcomePAC used their MPVF seed money to invest in their Substack page—WelcomeStack—transforming the scope of their communications. Their views surged from 142,000 to over 1.5 MILLION! They also raised $100,000+ from subscribers and gained 60,000+ new followers across social media platforms. Through this, they positioned themselves as national thought leaders, shaping moderate discourse. As a 2024-2025 MPVF grantee, Young People's Alliance exceeded expectations on almost all of their goals to build a dynamic, moderate youth movement. YPA used their grant to: 👟Mobilize tens of thousands of college voters, 🎒Launch a 30-campus chapter program 📋file an AI-focused FTC complaint 🏛️Lobby and testify before Congress for vital social media legislation Through these efforts YPA mobilized 5,500 students for Democracy Days, held 20,000 one-on-one conversations, and informed tens of thousands more young people. We are proud to include Young People's Alliance as part of the 2025-2026 MPVF cohort where they will use their grant toward sustaining their Youth Opportunity Campaign, expanding their chapter network to community colleges, and producing youth-focused research.
