It’s a special feeling – seeing something go from a sketch on paper to steel in the water, ready for first LNG. Even more so when that technology will supply about 8.5% of Germany’s gas demand. In April 2022, we started sketching out ideas for a jettyless LNG solution in Wilhelmshaven. We were in early conversations with our client TES and regulators, mapping IQuay alternatives, trying to solve a challenge that didn’t yet have a clear answer. Now, the FSRU has arrived, and final commissioning and testing of the IQuay F-Class is well underway. Getting here has taken a huge team effort – across engineering, permitting, logistics, offshore operations & installation, and more. I’m proud of what our people have accomplished, and grateful to the clients, partners and stakeholders who’ve worked with us as "one team" to make it happen; TES, DET Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH, ENGIE, BMWK, GEOCEAN, Strohm, Gasfin Development, DNV, Excelerate Energy and more. At ECOnnect Energy, we’re working to redefine marine energy infrastructure. This project is proof that it’s not just a slogan – it’s happening. And we’re only getting started. #lng #cleanerenergy #fasttrack
Magnus Eikens congratulations well done! Great to have been contributing to this project

2moAwesome offshore LNG terminal, I can imagine the challanges you faced to design and install it. Great to see all concluded!
