I'm here with Jan-Willem from Nomios. The
conference Summit is coming to an end. How are you feeling? Awesome, it's the perfect day.
What is your role at Nomios? I'm sales director for Nomios Netherlands and I'm also the sustainability
lead for Nomios Netherlands. So what are your main responsibilities? So I take care of the five
commercial teams, the pre-sales team and the CST team. Five teams that are structurally involved
in basically helping our customers progress in terms of cybersecurity and networking. Are some of
those customers here today? Are you in contact with them? Yeah, for us this is like homecoming, right.
I mean all these people we all know eachother. It's a very small scene so to speak.
I'm buzzing. Can you go into a bit more detail? How are you helping your customers? Why do they
want to work with you? So what we do at Nomios is we are really an expert system integrator.
Which means we carry a lot of expertise across all sorts of brands. For specialistic companies,
that really need to get the most out of their networking and cybersecurity questionnaires.
And we help them address these issues. We really dive into these problems with them and
are really able to make these tailored solutions for them. Best of breed solutions for them.
And focus specifically on, let's say mission critical and vital infrastructure. Is this where thedrive kit,
it it drive kit? Demo kit! Sorry. Is this where the demo kits come intoplay?
Well to a certain extent. I mean as you guys probably seen today there's a lot of buzz about AI.
But at Nomios we always like to say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating with these things.
What is a demo kit then? Yeah so what we do is, we try to find ways for customers to have,
let's say, a low boundary way to really get that hands-on experience. Specifically with
the networking equipment. And to make that really easy we have all sorts instruments for
customers. Now of course we can give you discounts on a trial side so to speak. But the most easy
is our demo kit, which basically contains a few access points and a switches. And we're going
to implement those free of charge. Just get me your most difficult Wi-Fi site. We real fit it and
you get to try it. What do you love most about yourjob? For me it's all about meeting people,
and starting projects, and really kickstarting innovation with companies. I get to meet companies
at a certain time of need and really get to think with them to start progressing in
their innovation. And that's really what I enjoymost. How long have you been working at Nomios?
For 11 years already. And what do you think about the company and organizational culture?
Is it a fun environment to be in? Yeah, listen for me Nomios has been like home for the past 11
years. And I kind of grew up with the company. I started at back then at Infradata, which then
had about 50 employees and we're now situated in eight countries, 20 offices, 650 people.
I mean we've grown so much and I've been part of the journey, which is absolutely lovely.
What would you say to future Nomios employees or people who would like to work for Nomios.
What tips and guidance would you give them? So listen, we are a company, we're fast growing, we're
high energy, there's a lot of potential. We do the coolest projects. Basically once you
start just find your way, but there's rooms and possibilities everywhere. Awesome, thank you so much
for your time today Jan. You're welcome.
